Nooch Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I think it would be very handy to have the ability to save flights in order to come back and finish them later. Right now there is no good way of doing it. I believe you can save a track file, play it until the near end and click "take control" but it's not convenient and often quite buggy. Plus you can't advance in a campaign that way, even if you complete the mission it won't count. Some missions can take very long (3 hours or so) if you want to do them well. Especially the ones in the A-10C with the Comined Arms module, they can take ages to finish. And that's great, it goes to show how much you can do in this sim. Unfortunately without a proper save game feature it can become hard to finish the whole thing. Very often I find myself having to exit in the middle of the mission because there is no way I can spend that much time in a row. So ED, please... :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SharpeXB Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 (edited) I agree completely http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=162243 This is about the most important feature ED should add. Without it DCS is greatly limited in its appeal to players and what it's capable of as a sim. And the game engine already has this ability since it can record and replay missions. All that's needed is a small fix. In fact it may already be possible since there is a mod which can do this, it just lacks integration into a campaign GUI Just allow a simple save and resume. Or auto save at mission points. Completely crucial that ED add this. There isn't anything else more important. It would be really needed on larger scenarios.
SharpeXB Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Wow that’s fantastic if that’s what it is. I can’t test it now because my PC is out for repair. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
Trueno Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 We also need the mission planner to be available in multiplayer mode
