Nealius Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I use the microstick, rotational knobs, and slider on the X52 for various HOTAS functions across all aircraft and as DCS does not recognize any of those buttons I have to use the Saitek SST software, which has worked flawlessly ever since 1.5 came out. Now, as of the 1.5.3.51870 update, DCS refuses to recognize any keys bound on the SST software.
Nealius Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 Still not working as of the latest OB update. What gives? Am I the only person using an X52? Slewable functions across all aircraft are INOP for me due to this issue and I seem to be the only one having a problem.
Nealius Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Everything went sour around the time that update came out. Now it's affecting my old stable version running 1.5.2 which had been fine before. I disabled Windows updates on my machine and have not personally changed anything so I don't know what's going on, and reinstalling the Saitek software hasn't done anything. I don't know if I should run repairs on all my DCS installs or what.

SkateZilla Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 IIRC the Saitek Nub/Microstick behaves as a mouse depending on Device Settings, There's a Specific Profile setting to have work within Sims as a Axis, One of the Reasons I was happy to say goodbye to my X52s This is not related to DCS, but rather the SST Software. Search for "Ministick Mouse Emulation" and "Clutch Modes" in SST. Nealius Posted April 24, 2016 Author Posted April 24, 2016 Clutch mode has to do with the clutch button. The microstick I have used for years by programming the slew key commands to the microstick's four axes and have just now started having issues.

I don't know if I should run repairs on all my DCS installs or what. I'm having the exact same problem. I can't get the X-55 Rhino Stick to work for anything other than steering. Really frustrating. For the HOTAS, the mini-joystick is similar - it works, but it's really cludgy. I do not have the money to invest in a Thrustmaster, but I just may if this continues. Does anyone have any clues? It seemed to work in 1.5.2 but yeah - 1.5.3 latest version, the joystick buttons simply do not work, and in 2.0.2 the throttle is essentially functionless. I would hope that y'all could make nice with Saitek and figure this out together.....
