4H_Ccrashh Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I have been moving to my new home and in the interim there was a new update to 1.5 (whatever the number).. The update came through flawlessly. But it came with an issue,, no replay will play accurately. no old or new trak will play accurately. To test, I did a mission of a simple start up, warm up, taxi to take off, I took off, around the pattern,, and landing in a BF 109. After the flight I did a straight play of the trak,, no altering cameras or time advance or slow.. Played the video three times. All three times it never played what accurately happened.. All three times there were different versions of some taxi through the grass with an attempt to take off resulting in a crash. One put me in a hill and the other two has me heading towards the beach,, one I hit the beach the other I managed to make the water (inverted) and crashed. This may be in the threads some where but if you search for "Replay not working" or "Replay broken" you get posts from a while ago.. Anyway,, love the sim. This is probably answered in the forums but after two hours of trying to find a recent post with relevant info I decided to post again. Best Regards, CCrashh
Strut Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Agree with above, yesterday tried to replay a track and the track was different to what actually happened. Things i noticed: My aircraft didnt land on the airfield i actually landed on, it landed at a location adjacent to the left then the right of the take off location. I was lead in a flight of 4 huey's and on the replay i was flying by myself. just a couple of examples. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 21, 2016 ED Team Posted April 21, 2016 Yes it is not ideal, try keeping the tracks short and with less complicated scenarios, but it does not always help. Corvus Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Yes it is not ideal, try keeping the tracks short and with less complicated scenarios, but it does not always help. Yeah I'm trying to do it that way, but like you wrote- it does not always help. I'm working on a short L-39ZA video right now- I've made different tracks for, start up, takeoff and combat- but the last part gets a bit too long and track gets corrupted. Yet I have a lot of fun in trying to make it work:) I've been subbed to your channel for a while, I enjoy your clips :) Thank you! My YT channel https://www.youtube.com/user/corvuscorp81

Lucifah Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Yes it is not ideal, try keeping the tracks short and with less complicated scenarios, but it does not always help. Nope doesn't help :( Strangely it seems to be depending on the aircraft as well. For example with a MiG 21 I have not been able to get a track accurately play back what really happened, even if it's just a 3-minutes airborne-to-landing "mission". The MiG reproducibly crashes into the ground or a building every time, even though it was a somewhat perfect landing on the runway. Sometimes its point of impact is off by a mile from the runway! Don't have that problem with any other plane or chopper on such short tracks. (On longer ones, with AI etc yes, but not on a stand-alone single airplane "mission".) I'm guessing there's some random elements introduced somewhere during flight (weather maybe?), which then of course can't be reproduced during track view as the random outcome will be different. Replay is in for a complete overhaul to make it a re-play and not a re-do! :music_whistling: My humble rig: Windows 10 pro 64bit; i7-6700k on Gigabyte Z170X G7; 32GB; MSI 980ti Twin Frozr; 512GB Samsung 950 Pro (NVMe/PCIe x4); 1TB Samsung 850 Pro; Komplete Audio 6; TrackIR 5 Pro; DCS 2.5 with almost all modules; favourites: Shark, Mi-8, Harrier, Viggen, Mirage, Hornet
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 21, 2016 ED Team Posted April 21, 2016 like I said it does not always help. DCS is going through a lot of changes at the moment, once things have calmed down we will see these little issues come together again. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? doodenkoff Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I'm so disappointed. I flew a simple mission in single player last night in my L-39ZA. I'll usually place a couple of armed vehicles somewhere close to spice things up a bit. An APC managed to get some rounds into my aircraft. Not too bad, took out a couple of instruments but engine and flight controls seemed okay. I finished the mission and RTB'd. Everything went well all the way to landing. But just as I touched the wheels to the runway the engine flamed out. It could not have happened at a more coincidental or fortuitous time. I so badly wanted to run the replay and gather video clips and screenshots. But sadly.....track replays are borked to here and back. I get halfway through the mission and crash at the target according to my saved track. Damn. I am disappoint. Win 10 | i7 4770 @ 3.5GHz | 32GB DDR3 | 6 GB GTX1060
