  1. It would be nice to have a slightly older looking E2 for the Forrestal in the mid 70's. We have the F-4, A-4, A-6, H-3 that all fit well for an early to mid 70's air Group. The E-2 itself was in service but the older version of the plane had four bladed props.
  2. For me this problem is still current. Only when I'm close to or on the boat (flying Tomcat). If I turn off mirrors it goes away.
  3. I can't get the arresting wire to come off of the hook after landing. I've been at it for hours. Very rarely it works , the rest of the time the wire drags me all the way back and never lets go. Youtube: I think I found the glitch that is causing my problem. Note about this video: I have tested this with two different Thrustmaster Warthog throttles. It happens with both.
  4. Picture one (boom) was taken from a replay of the trak. Picture two (Game) was taking within the mission. Note change of the spawn points when replaying the trak. Attached trak file. boom.trk
  5. FIXED. I don't know if this means anything to anyone but I realized that I was running the non MT version as a "System Admin". I switched the MT version to running as "System Admin" and it works. I was able to duplicate the problem, so I'm good to go.
  6. I'm using open beta. Starting the MT version of the game I see no servers at all. List is populated when using non MT version of the game.
  7. Issue resolved. After the latest patch my problem is gone.
  8. I think I attached a log file in my first post. Update here,,, I can reliably duplicate this .. Mission builder locks up trying to play the mission.. Join an online serer, exit sever restart mission builder and I can play it.
  9. Solved? I went and joined and online server. The mission loaded and hesitated for quite a while at vat.sim.post.start. After a bit it loaded all was fine. As a goof I exited the online server and started the mission builder and tried a mission that I could not play. But this time it loaded. So go figure.
  10. New Video drivers, and a complete dump and reinstall of the game. Still have the issue. This started after the last patch.
  11. A clarification. The missions load. I get the lock up when I try to play them.
  12. Uninstalled drivers with DDU and loaded new. Same issue, log file attached. dcs.log
  13. Trying to make missions. All stop loading and "Sim Post". This includes older missions that have worked perfectly in the past.

    What I'm looking for is immersion. It would be nice to look out from the deck of the Forrestal and see a Belknap cruiser, Knox class frigates, the USS Longbeach. Period ships from the 60's and 70's.

    Not just World War II, We have an cold war carrier (Forrestal) with no escorts. Perry frigate is mid 70's and that's about it. At one time there was a mod called Naval Mod Collection. It would do in a pinch. Unfortunately the US battleships, cruisers and destroyers no longer work with the current version. Even has a Spruance class destroyer.
  16. Any word on fixing the launch crew? They were all so motivated, running around looking enthused. Now the guys diddy-bop across the deck like they are back on the block.
  17. Ok , good to know. Thanks. So I'm thinking if I want more flares, can set the AN/ALE-39 to all flares and let the 138's take care of chaff?
  18. The Comms menu (ground crew) only configs the jets internal AN/ALE-39 load-out. The sliders in the arming screen include adjusting the load-outs in the the wing mounted LAU-138 missile rails which add additional countermeasures. The sliders have been working for a log time. They died after this patch.
  19. When selecting load outs I cannot move the sliders to adjust the number of chaff and flares.
  20. Bringing this back up. I was on a 4Ya server in a tomcat. Engaged an F-14A he launch a sparrow, I launched a Sparrow. He maneuvered and lost his lock on me . His sparrow went stupid. He turned back in got a radar lock and his Sparrow got smart again made a hard left turn and hit me in the face. Sparrows should not do that.

  23. just for giggles last post in this thread, I don't want to beat a dead horse. Happened again. This time I took two AIM-54's. Shot down one SU-27 at range switched to Sparrow, locked second guy up at 20 miles and launched head on. He also Launched. He evades my missile but also loses lock. I switch to heaters and close in. His nose comes around and again his missile which had gone dumb and was suppose to pass down my left side gets smart again, makes a hard left turn and reacquires me.   24. Well that didn't take long. It happened again. Attached the Tav-View File. Same thing, we both fire he evades all missiles go stupid. He turns back toward me and his missile goes smart again. This time I got another lock tone in my headset. I assumed he had shot another missile. I went into the notch and barely made it. Died later but that is a another issue completely related to my inability to fly the jet correctly. Maybe this thread should be moved to an official bug thread. The AA-10 Semi active being able to reacquire is a major advantage over the AIM-7 and as far as I have researched not at all accurate.   25. Thanks for the reply's. No the jammer was not active. I'm going to do some more practicing and see if it happens again.
