Ice Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Maps for the Current Mission hosted on the 169th Lock On Server Running 1.12a Ip Address: 66.165.113.74 FighterTown Statistics available at: http://169thpanthers.com.au/Stats/statsindex.php
Pilotasso Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Ok one question follwed by a suggestion: Did you notice how it came from an extremely complex and hard mission to a over simplistic one? :) I suggest add a few More SAM's just to add something for the Su-25's role in the mission development. But thats just my suggestion, my 2 cents. .
Pilotasso Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 The lack of feedback on this thread is shamefull. Everybody likes do drop at RAF server when no one is moderating it, for a good air quake, with cheating, lag, and frindly fire. Seriously, why cant people diversify and play a bit more into the atmosphere of the thing? The other servers also exist! 1 .

Seriously, why cant people diversify and play a bit more into the atmosphere of the thing? The other servers also exist! Relax Pilotasso. I for one enjoy the 169th's server because it is more objective based but it is still summer time here and I enjoy a lot of things besides a computer flight sim.:) It is not shameful, just life.
Pilotasso Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Not blaming anyone to be on vacations (I didnt have any :( ) but those that ARE present seem to go always for the same. .
Frostie Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 :music_whistling: Just get some flight practice on the server for a few mins Pilo then peeps are sure to join you ....Probably best you change your name in HyperL though as that could be a deterent:smilewink: Personally I prefer the 169th server "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. Lord Flashheart 51st PVO "Bisons" - 100 KIAP Regiment Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org
Guest Cali Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Air quakes are boring, I like objective based and coops better. Loc from BSR 199th makes excellent missions, best and funniest I have ever played in, too bad he doesn't flying in hyperlobby to much.
VMFA117_Poko Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I think there is a mistake with Pashkovsky and Krasnodar. Names should be flipped.

How the hell do they do that?... As far as 169th server, everytime I joined in HL their server was empty.

They are MIA....

The other servers also exist!Instead of writing crap about our server, why don't you post the names of the cheaters with some proof on our forum. I can't sit and watch over it all day, and neither can other admins. As for the missions, a lot of people prefer airquake over having to fly for half an hour before seeing a single target. If you dont like that, go to a different server, thats why other servers exist after all ;) [brag]European dogfight champion 2006[/brag]

If you dont like that, go to a different server, thats why other servers exist after all ;) No crap at all, its just players are not civil when there is no consequences for what they do. Not my intention to talk down who owns a server and shares their space with the public but you just interpreted my post the worst possible way. I quit playing there for some time because of the abuse, including those who still dont quit with a ping of well over 1000 ruining everybodies game. so I cant specify any names out of lack of memory, because it was too messy then to point just one or 2 without staining alot of known HL visiters reps. Not my nature to do that either, I want them to keep motivated to return online. .
Nomad Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Thing is, you dont have to take abuse, if you are willing to do someting about it. If you are on our server and there is a problem, there is a lot of things you can do about it, such as posting on our forum, writing a pager message to some of us, getting on our ts server, I'm usually there when I'm online. A lot of things may happen when nobody is looking, on any server, and sitting there doing nothing about it isnt gonna help ;). Now, this is going off-topic, which is not cool, this is a thread about 169th server after all. So if you have something more to say, pm me or post on our forums. Floyd Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 No crap at all, its just players are not civil when there is no consequences for what they do. Same goes for people posting stuff about about cheating. If you have no evidence i'll suggest you'll better hold your busy typing fingers ;)

Neither am I to be held responsible for their chronicaly continued occurence. .
cool_t Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Servers RAF server rules 169th server rules Thanks guys for the Stick time on your servers Cheaters improve my kill ratio:music_whistling:
Ice Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 Good to see the server getting lots of use once again. Saw some excelent fights in there yesterday and today
Guest Cali Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Same goes for people posting stuff about about cheating. If you have no evidence i'll suggest you'll better hold your busy typing fingers ;) I have good evidence of people cheating, but can't post them in here for EVERYONE to see, the MODS don't like that. But why not??? if someone is cheating expose the dumb :censored:er
GGTharos Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 WHy not? Precicely because it begins strife, and sometimes gets people who aren't aware of what certain mods are doing to them in big trouble with the community unfairly. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Pilotasso Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I say not because it should be dealt with the servers MOD, not explcity in the forums because that would apear to be a public linch. And often it is not our business to intefere in others people business. Neither would it be encouraging for new blood when wich hunts are made public on these boards. .
Guest Cali Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 WHy not? Precicely because it begins strife, and sometimes gets people who aren't aware of what certain mods are doing to them in big trouble with the community unfairly. When the person reads the brief and 6+ people tell him that you can't use that weapon on that jet. And he still doesn't get it, I say make it KNOWN if he wants to be that dumb. Now if the person would have said "I didn't know that or sorry I was just playing single player" that is different.
GGTharos Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Cali, it isn't worth it; people can get drunk and do something boneheaded, or they can be in a seriously bad mood and do something boneheaded ... cheaters are actually much fewer than just people being silly for whatever reason. And yes, they ruin your fun - for ten minutes, maybe for a night - but the punishment for such - that being a public lynching, does not fit neither the crime, nor is it needed for anyone else to be riled up about it. I think the individual squadron 'halls of shame' are good enough for the purpose - we don't need to tolerate cheaters, but we don't need to be all that intolerant to silly people or people who don't know better either. I've run into enough cases of people accusing people who legitimately don't know any better of cheating, and when those people respond and apologize, they are only further told that they are full of it, etcetc. We don't need that kind of thing here on these forums.
