I"m looking to add a collective to my pit and am looking for some good step by steps plans. I used to have a collective make from pvc connected to a throttle but I find the sensitivity on that varies and I keep having to adjust it. So I'd like to build one using better sensors then a old throttle. I've build basic projects before, but prefer a good step by step guide is possible.

The most interesting system for collective that I see around is this from Avia-sim.ru:

Although looks "Ka-50" the grip twist for throttle in other DCS heli.

To retain the collective in position a kind of brake with multi-disks:

file.php?id=7638

This pin release the spring pressure over disk to allow move the lever:

A "low tech" interpretation of the same system:

It's the twist grip I can't figure out how to do.

Look how is done in the above model:

In this model the "button box" dont turn with the throttle, if want that turn no need the front bearing.

Any details on how to mount a hall sensor in one? I'd be interested in that.

The sensor is in this small PCB placed in frnt the magnet that turn with collective lever movement.
