Seems to be just me by the lack of others with same issue. All switches and safeties are where they are supposed to be and target at mid range. What could be wrong ? Never get the square on display so no firing possible.

Well, no track so we cant know if all the switches really are in the right position, but barring that slave the autohover so its pointing in the right dirextion for release. Think it's the d key or something.

Thanks for reply but everything including chopper orientation in auto hover mode is as per videos on the subject ive watched. Followed each step exactly. I can well believe its something dumb on my part but out of ideas.

Post a cockpit screenshot from both sides so we can see what's going on.

Have you selected a hardpoint?

When you select a pylon, the light "Missile prêt" which means "Missile ready" will switch on if there is a missile mounted on the pylon. So check this ;)

Thank you all for your quick offers of help. There will now be a pause (hopefully permanent but maybe not) since ive just tried again to get the pictures and it worked !

Honestly nothing in switches and procedure was different this time. The only difference was not flying out to the designated targets to save time. Auto hovered over base at 5000 and put the target marker out in the desert at 2.5 range. Used the E key as before to put nose on target and got the permission. Very odd and more time/testing required.

Made the attempt 10+ times over last few days and always failed to launch. Thanks again.

Is there a limit to the elevation of the Viviane vs the platform (similar to the +/- 3 degrees azimuth)? I've had no shoot cue when I've otherwise been in parameters and I figured it was because I was looking up the hill. I could have tested it by increasing altitude, but I would have been shot so instead I just got closer by flying NOE up the hill.

Yes, there are elevation limits, unfortunately there's no elevation indication nor a defined set of limits. Just know if the target is way below or above you, you will not get a launch authorized.

Yes. Was trying to shoot at a target while being really close to it and high and I couldn't get the authorization. It makes sense in a way since HOT3 launchers do not move down like with the Vikhrs. So just like the limit in azimuth, there must also be a tight limit for elevation.

The annoying part is that I often have issues with engaging the slave mode. Or it disengages by itself. Since you have no authority over the rudder when auto hover is engaged, losing the slave mode makes firing the HOT close to impossible.

Maybe it's double mapped or something? Use right ctrl enter to see when its engaged and maybe you can correlate when its disengaging with something you're doing.... i have never seen it disengage on it's own so seems weird...

I think the HOT3 launchers are also tilted up above the helicopters waterline so that the missile clears obstacles... or the HOT3 simply climbs at launch.
