WinterH Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 A-7 is one of the things I want to fly most in DCS. Infact, among the announced/hinted modules, this is among my top 3 most anticipated (Viggen, A-7, Hornet). Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script
zerO_crash Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 Wonder if Belsimtek could release the manual before some time in advance, would be handy to read through it before it`s finally there. :music_whistling: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kev2go Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Wonder if Belsimtek could release the manual before some time in advance, would be handy to read through it before it`s finally there. :music_whistling: before F5E release? well the point of them not allowing f5 to be flown is because it lacks translations or at least thats what BST said thier reasoning was. that being said you can always read the Real F5E manual. All that being said, F5E isnt a complex aircraft to get up and running, all youd proably need is couple few trial and errors attempts, as well as using the startup logic based on experience of flying other aircraft. Wags got through the startup in the first video without even touching the manual. Build: Windows 10 64 bit Pro Case/Tower: Corsair Graphite 760tm ,Asus Strix Z790 Motherboard, Intel Core i7 12700k ,Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 64gb ram (3600 mhz) , (Asus strix oc edition) Nvidia RTX 3080 12gb , Evga g2 850 watt psu, Hardrives ; Samsung 970 EVo, , Samsung evo 860 pro 1 TB SSD, Samsung evo 850 pro 1TB SSD, WD 1TB HDD

And I do ask for manual for obvious reasons, startup procedures is a tiny fraction of it. Even though some things might be similar to other aircraft, this is a different one, and should be regarded as a different plane, that doesn´t even start to include aircraft frame (contents of it, where it lies, limitations, etc....) Sure there is a real manual available, however I would still like to get acquainted with Belsimtek one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

That is not in question, having been in the sim since Lomac, I think I do know what can be found out and what not (by trial and error). But if it`s available, why not have it? And yes, I know the main manual covers most of it, afterall I read most of it already, but the version available online is for E-I. What we are getting is an EII. Already noticed some differences in avionics, not to mention weapons. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Already noticed some differences in avionics, not to mention weapons. yes its the E3, only difference in avoincs is that we are getting the AN/ApQ 159 radar over the earlier AN/APQ 153 as well as an on board RWR. the manual does also go over theAN/APQ 159 if you read the other one, the non nuclear weapons delivery ,which also deal with employment of weapons. http://www.avialogs.com/index.php/en/aircraft/usa/northrop/f-5tigerii/to-1f-5e-34-1-1-f-5e-f-tiger-ii-aircrew-nonnuclear-weapons-delivery-manual-to-1f-5e.html starting pg 44 specifically for the AN/APQ 159 V3 only thing manuals doesn't cover is the RWR, however knowing the model of itP you can try to find a specif handbook for it somewhere online. I belive if i caugh the label from the images correct the RWR is an IP 1310/ALR Edited June 25, 2016 by Kev2go Build: Windows 10 64 bit Pro Case/Tower: Corsair Graphite 760tm ,Asus Strix Z790 Motherboard, Intel Core i7 12700k ,Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 64gb ram (3600 mhz) , (Asus strix oc edition) Nvidia RTX 3080 12gb , Evga g2 850 watt psu, Hardrives ; Samsung 970 EVo, , Samsung evo 860 pro 1 TB SSD, Samsung evo 850 pro 1TB SSD, WD 1TB HDD
zerO_crash Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) Right, but we don`t know for instance still what types of weapons will be included or not: http://www.belsimtek.com/news/1558/ On their website it only states what`s "planned". Still not sure whether for instance the request for practice bombs went through. Edited June 25, 2016 by zerO_crash [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

WinterH Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2827973&postcount=57 So, if Google Translate knows a thing about Russian language, Chizh may have confirmed AIM-9P5. chev255 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Great news! I was concerned we would be stuck with the current AIM-9P (P3?)
mattebubben Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) If thats the case its amazings news. And it will make the F-5E the most capable it could possibly be without upgrading the aircraft itself. As the Aim-9P5 is the most capable variant of the Aim-9P. (with an all aspect seeker based on the Aim-9M seeker with comparable Flare resistance where as the Aim-9P4 Seeker was based on the Aim-9L seeker) So yea im overjoyed (if this is official and true) and will look forward to trying it out in combat. And this was kinda needed since the Mig-21Bis gets the R-60Ms (and can carry many more of them) Edited July 1, 2016 by mattebubben
ED Team cofcorpse Posted July 1, 2016 ED Team Posted July 1, 2016 There are new news at Belsimtek page: http://www.belsimtek.com/news/
zerO_crash Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 Great, but holy moly are there too many great aircraft now... Question is, what does "about to be released mean"? "two more weeks"? :megalol: Jokes aside, great news! :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mattebubben Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Great, but holy moly are there too many great aircraft now... Question is, what does "about to be released mean"? "two more weeks"? :megalol: Jokes aside, great news! :joystick: well two weeks would not be a bad guess. Id say 1-2 weeks minimum. As it has to be released on a Friday (and its obviously not today) So earliest would be next week (if there is a patch planned for then) otherwise two weeks. And also release date is not completely up to Belsimtek as they have to wait for game updates. For me best case scenario would be it being released into the Open beta Client next week and then if there are no problems (either with the F-5E or the Open beta at large ) and then the stable client the week after that. Hopefully =). And since we finally have the Manuals im hopeful.
