jared9191 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 From a purely esthetic stand point, I personally prefer the way the Draken looks better. However, from a DCS perspective, Viggen all the way!
robban75 Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Kinda slow here so I thought I'd post some pics of these swedish beauties. 1

MiG21bisFishbedL Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Where is my Viggen? :) I ate it. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
robban75 Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 Yes, it really is! Hopefully one day we'll see it in DCS. It is a true adversary to the MiG-21. These two often met each other over the Baltic sea during the cold war. And in Finland they were stablemates. :)

VIKBELL Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 That aircraft looks more like space ship then a aircraft. There are 2 categories of fighter pilots: those who have performed, and those who someday will perform, a magnificent defensive break turn toward a bug on the canopy. Robert Shaw
coolie Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 the one thing they lack is advanced ground targeting pods imo 1
El Hadji Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 the one thing they lack is advanced ground targeting pods imo The Draken wasn't designed to attack ground targets. It was designed as a high altitude interceptor. The ground attack role was taken care of by the A35 Lansen until the Viggens came along. Farks Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) The Draken wasn't designed to attack ground targets. It was designed as a high altitude interceptor. The ground attack role was taken care of by the A35 Lansen until the Viggens came along. None of those aircrafts had targeting pods either, but that's to be expected since they're both '50s and '60s designs and the type of air-to-ground missions that would require such equipment was never was never part of their intended operational doctrine.
