dudeman17 Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I have made up my mind that I have gotten addicted enough to Dcs that I'm going to upgrade my setup from my Logitech extreme 3D pro to something better. I have already made up my Mind that I'm going to get the thrustmaster warthog however I need to also get rudder pedals I want the best of the best (of course) which as I see it are the satek pro flight combat rudder pedals however they appear to be any where between $600 and $1200 that is rediculious and I can't afford them. Is there something I am missing with these or are they just over priced. Also is there another option that is has the same features like the toe brakes and adjustments just at a lower price. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. McG Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 The Saitek's are on worldwide back order, hence the high prices. The MFG Crosswinds and VKB T rudders are considered better than the Saiteks.
hansangb Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 My opinion only....but MFGs *are* better than Saiteks. Not even a close fight IMHO. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
Gladman Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I bought crosswinds a couple months ago and have a set of Saitek pedals I was going to list here anyway. Sokol1_br Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 satek pro flight combat rudder pedals however they appear to be any where between $600 and $1200 that is rediculious and I can't afford them. This is the normal price for Saitek pedals: http://www.pilotmall.com/product/Saitek-Pro-Flight-Combat-Rudder-Pedals/Shop-By-Manufacturer-Saitek But as seem that Saitek are going south, the production was stopped, and smart people are speculating with price, eventually they can find a fool that pay that prices. Thrustmaster has just announced a new Rudder Pedal, although not a "high end" model, electronics wise on par with Saitek models, read: low cost potentiometers. http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/products/tflight-rudder-pedals
Rangi Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 If it's top quality you are looking for forget the saiteks. The mfg crosswinds get the best reviews of any product I have ever seen http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=119419 I don't have them yet due to terrible exchange rate at the moment but when I can afford it I will definitely get them. sobe Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 My new TM pedals are due to arrive next Tuesday so I can compare them with my existing CH pedals that are causing me some issues. Will write a little comparison summary soon.
