This incredible feat of flying was accomplished in 1983, when Dick flew his JetRanger, for 38,000 miles, on a flight from the Bell works in Fort Worth, Texas and was featured in a BBC documentary in 1983. Holbeach Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 The man had to overcome, fog, monsoon rain, bureaucracy, fatigue, fear and being shot at, all on his own, without support and in a helicopter not designed for the task, but he still managed to stop for a photo shoot, on a glacier on USA highest mountain.
