Hagen Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @BULLITT83 Good job, another step forward in immersion. This is not a Simpit, but I just received a nice comic about the F-14. 3
BULLITT83 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @AusMumbles I plan to have an early f14 paint scheme … classic vf 84 … I would have done the vf1 paint but it is too low on the frame so it would not be visible on our pit .. @Hagen yeah !! Got it also !! Very good one !! 2

Say you halve Y+ now you only have say 1000 increments to cover the limited travel and not say 2000 increments (i have a weird headache so can’t lookup actual 12 and 14 bit axis numbers, but you get the point) On 1/26/2025 at 2:45 PM, BULLITT83 said: Finally managed to fit at the good distance my tpr rudder control. … and perform the first flight . My son here on controls. For flights I will remove the windshield . So I make it removable Put the screen closer, that’s way too far away. Better field of view, better readability. Just forward of the panel would be ideal. 2
BULLITT83 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 @rustbelt you are right we immediately identify this point. I will change the screen support , maybe with a wheeled one . Or …. Go to mixed reality as ausmumble says. 1
RustBelt Posted January 30 Posted January 30 If it was Display over view I’d say yes, but the passthrough on screen stuff is still primitive and disappointing.

Ltdan853 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Good afternoon brain's trust. I'm looking at getting my frame cut by a local CNC company but they are having difficulty with the files reading. I have supplied them in skp, stl and dfx however the problem they are having is they need an exploded view and can't work with the files I have provided. Has anyone who has had there's done via CNC help me with a bit of advice on what and how I should provide the files. I've attached an image of what I'm trying to achieve Thankyou
Cavemanhead Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Cool project(s)... Does DCS have the capability to render only the external view with no cockpit whatsoever for full cockpit setups like this ones showed in this thread. It would make no sense to render a cockpit view and obscure the screen if one already has a 3D-simulated cockpit IRL... 1

That's only the HUD, if it has one, and maybe the MFDs, which can be removed with Lua edits.I'm looking into this myself, as I have big plans the make a transparent sphere, and have the projectors on the outside. (Wish we still could use 3D glasses... ). Read somewhere one could use some sort of mask, while I wish we had a native solution. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

If you know the CNC work size you could even position everything inside their sheet material dimensions. CNC shops want ready for cut files. Is there a program or particular way of doing that. I have tried a few online ones and can't seem to get anywhere. I can imagine in missing something rather simple that's holding me up

I can't pull anything useful into my Fusion360 without paying sketch up money I don't wanna. Edited February 4 by RustBelt

Hagen Posted February 4 Posted February 4 @AusMumbles Hi, I'm on the ejection seat, would it be possible to have the "Seat Rip Down" file? When downloading, I have the .skp file of the ejection seat. Thanks 1

BULLITT83 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hi mates . Since we are discussing ejection seats. What is the purpose of this switch on the right hand side of the seat ? I put a red arrow on the attached picture
