Oh I am, I don't pick this sort of thing up easily but fun it is. Hopefully things will be a tad easier when I get to building my IR head tracker, £170 for TrackIR is stupid money really and money is tight... I hope more Gazelle mods and missions come along. I might turn my hand to some Gazelle missions soon... Cheers.

Brixmis: You can build an IR head tracker for about £30. The Main bits I've ordered from Amazon are...

 

USB Head Tracking, pro Clip £14,80

Sony PlayStation 3 Eye Camera £7,49

 

Plenty of guides online to make a cheep version which doesn't play into the hands of the insultingly overpriced TrackIR (£170 which will buy you a 32 inch HD ready TV)...

Where (which location) are you extracting to?

You were exactly right. It was too deep:

 

D:\Koz Downloads\DCS_World\DCS Mods\Add-on Mods

 

I moved it up one layer and it extracted no problem.

Funny though, I haven't had that trouble before...

I have it installed now but I'm not seeing English.

Somehow I unzipped into a folder with the same name as the zip file. Too many folders in the Path again. :confused:

Different reason this time though.

Actually this mod needs to be updated, because there're some updates on dash panel textures by Pholychop, but this mod can be used with current state.

I think that you can already make an English cockpit mod for Mistral, by yourself. :)

Please just copy & paste the English Cockpit folder from L model into Mistral.

Please see the image below.

 

And please note that I'm waiting for next update from Pholyshop to update my mods. There're certainly some changes on stock textures, but we can live with that until the general update. :)

2) By the way; Why have I used WinRAR to compress?

 

Long story: I couldn't decide what to do. I keep three folders together under Liveries folder (Cockpit_SA342L, Cockpit_SA342M and Cockpit_SA342Mistral). Mostly same files!! But I have to do that to use "Customized Cockpit Menu". This situation increases the file size from ~120 Mb to ~500 Mb. Windows' zip software can compress to 113Mb. ED User Files page accepts max. 100Mb. With the best compress ability from WinRAR, I can see 103Mb. So, I deleted two textures from L and Mistral versions (the 4 letters on the copilot video joystick).

 

Short story: Only WinRAR managed to compress to 99.990 Kb! That's why I've used WinRAR. Sorry about that.

3) And, now we may have a bug. Unfortunately it seems that Pholychop put some camo and cockpit textures in the same texture file. I didn't edit those camo files for a little translation. That's why you may see that device ("in" glass), in black color in all camos.
