Hi guys,

Can't see any training missions under Razbam Mirage 2000. Pls can someone point me in the right direction?

They are under construction at this time. :smartass:

Because the details listed will be present in the final release version. The M-2000C is in early access phase currently.

Specs:

It takes time, for example, the F-86 was available about sometime late in 2014, but the training missions weren't released till earlier this year. It takes time man, Youtube vidoes are super helpful at this time.

Hmm...thanks guys. Am all for supporting developers that help us live our passion but I still feel conned; if it ain't there, don't market it. It's misleading to say the least when you're charging top dollar for it.

Well, the product page reads:

Early access

Key Features that the M-2000C for DCS World by RAZBAM will include:
(my emphasis)

So rest assured you won't be extra-charged for any of the feature listed. They will come with no additional charges when they're ready. And when all of them will be there, then the "early access/beta phase" of the module will be over :)

The training missions are also part of the upcoming campaign which the M2000 will have when it will be released out of early access.

Do, or do not, there is no try.

Yes and no :)

The training will be part of the campaign - and this is ready. It will give you a different and more hmm... personalized (depending on which campaign character conducts it) look at different things.

Training missions are under development and couldn't be finished earlier, as they can only be built as different parts of the module are final. I am working on these right now (should be 10 in total) but as you can imagine many of them are dependent on INS or PPA (which only will be included in tue next update). So as was rightly said before - patience please :)

Then again, training missions and campaign will be complimentery, the latter making use of what you learn during the training or extending the knowledge obtained there.

I have 7 out of 9 (sorry, won't be 10!) ready, two remaining ones are for INS which needs to be completely done before I can do a training on it. I am on holidays now, but should wrap everything up by the end of a month for Caucasus, a bit later for Nevada (I think it still needs to catch up with some of planes features).

But the release date for both training and campaign (which is ready) is up for Razbam to decide.

Have to say, I am also one that thinks this recent (like, last 10 years) trend of releasing digital products before they are finished is a bunch of BS. Sure, it's a way to help support the developers in the process, but it's also asking consumers to open themselves up for scam. I trust the DCS third party devs have more passion and respect for what they do to be above such things, but take for example DayZ on steam... 3 years later and it's still in early alpha... And what incentive do they have to finish it now that peak is sales is already way WAY past...and the original mastermind has already left the company? I was one of the vocal people that pushed Steam to at least put up a big banner telling people that there are no guarantees that a early alpha release will ever be finished just because consumers buy them...it used to be much smaller almost like fine print. Ah, i remember the days of my comments on Steam DayZ forums being deleted immediately by fanboy admins when I was only speaking the truth...some of the promises of fixes that DayZ was making just couldn't happen because I know I little about the relationship between Bohemia Interactive and the proprietary bits of the original Codemaster source codes... nuff said. But my point is...I really don't think it's good practice in general to sell something claiming to have features that isn't there yet...even with 100% good intentions...because there could be a nuclear war tomorrow and those promises might become impossible to keep and you know what they say survives after a nuclear war? Cockroaches and... LAWYERS!!

Hm, I fail to understand how this adds to the whole topic of training missions, but let me just point out one thing - having the module released at such an early stage really helps to polish it and get rid of LOTS of bugs. Nobody forces anyone to buy it before it is final, but trust me - when it is, it will be much more complete / advanced than many games that are released as final and then producers are hastily dumping patch after patch to make it playable. With RAZBAM you may be sure that when M-2000C is out, it will require only minor updates.

As far as the training missions go, I build them as features are added. Just finished first on on INS yesterday, waiting for more functionalities to come to HSI (and more are coming!) and for INS bombing to be final - and then I will add final two training missions there. So we will have a total of 10.

Edit: sorry for OT...

I was wondering the same... Kamov Akula, either you trust the developer and buy early access, or you wait for some good reviews. I'm not often buying early access software, not even software when it's just been released, it all depends on past experience, on how well I (or someone else I trust enough) gauge the developers' ability to produce something worthy.

In this case I'm pretty confident, as are many others, but that's a personal opinion. If you don't share it, nobody forces you, and you should wait.

That's pretty awesome news! I wasn't expecting a complete training mission set on top of the campaign, AND in NTTR as well as Caucasus :)

We'll try to be patient but no promises ;)

Bad news that NTTR ones will come a bit later, I want first to get feedback on the Caucasus ones (and there probably will be some suggestions / improvements to be introduced). But the NTTR version will be coming!

I will create a DLC in Nevada at a later stage (I will start working a few months after release of the stock campaign). It will be a part of a bigger project, featuring some of the characters from the stock campaign and an A-10C training campaign which I also develop. With grand finale in part 3 in Strait of Hormuz.

"Why do you buy early access then?"

I really didn't know it was early access. I should have been more careful. I came here to find out when the training missions and everything else that is on the list of features will actually be out. Also, if you are talking about DayZ, I never bought it. I have been a fan of Operation Flash Point and ArmA for a long time, so when DayZ standalone came out marketed to mostly naive kids during the big Zombie craze I was extremely skeptical, because I knew how glitchy OFP and ArmA was and how much of an effort it was for the user community to get Bohemia Interactive to make any meaningful improvements. When DayZ started making the same promises to the users when those promises weren't even met in the base game, I started posting that point in the Steam Forums.

And, Baltic Dragon.

They used to put out games with very few bugs quite fine before this whole "early access" thing. What, are you too young to remember? When people put out games, they either put out their own money upfront, or they had to convince investors who would have a very close look at the business plan and what the developers had in mind before they committed their money. Now devs can cut that process and get the consumers to buy early instead. In some cases that may be a good idea but I have to be honest I think in more cases than not the traditional way is a better deal for the consumer.

So anyway, I am also here to find out when the training missions and the campaign will be out. But while I'm waiting I'm also voicing my opinions about this whole process in general. Sorry to be a party pooper.
