Inforoelnet.nl Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Hi all, Everytime i take off after about 50kts the aircraft steers to the left, there is no wind and full rudder to the right does not help... Is this a known issue? Thx,
nomdeplume Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Steering issues on take-off are known: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=167801 But typically this is due to crosswinds and heavy loads. If you're getting it all the time I'd double-check your controller assignments. Use RCtrl+Enter to pop up the controls indicator and make sure your inputs are being properly reflected. If it is just the steering issue, pulling back on the stick to unload the nose wheel helps at the moment. But it should be improved in the next update, whenever that arrives.
The Legman Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Pull the joystick since you start the roll as if you were going to rotate. It is not realistic, but eases the load on the nose wheel and definitely helps a lot with this drifting. DCS Discord community - https://discord.gg/U8aqzVT

I can confirm that's a good temporary fix :) Thank you Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Water cooled i9-9900K | Maximus Code XI MB | RTX3090 | 64GB | HP Reverb G2

Frank00 Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) There is a big problem at 100 kts when rolling on the runway. This problem is for take off and landing. When you 're taking off the aircraft steer left at 100 kts and when you're landing at 100 kts the aircraft is falling to his tail and when you're are trying to let the nosewheel touching the ground smoothly an alarm of nosewheel system is warning. BaconSarnie Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Keeping the NWS on also helps a lot. NWS automatically turns off at 40 KTS And lo, Reverend Vegas did say "Take forth unto the infidel the mighty GAU 8 and expend its holy 30MM so that freedom will be brung upon them who knoweth not the joys of BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTT" "Amen"
Gliptal Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Aircraft is not steering left under 100 kts.It is with unbalanced loads or crosswind.
