mytai01 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 This is about pilot unconsciousness. I've said that I've experienced loss of consciousness on landing, but now I know it's BS. I popped the canopy at low altitude, but the pilot still didn't wake up. I had full throttle, full flaps, and gear down. He went round and round at about 5,000 feet and 2.5G's until he hit the ground at about 250 knots. The plane looped and stopped with the pilot still alive, but the pilot wouldn't wake up!!! That is officially a bug!!!!!!!!!!!! Rangi Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 How do you pop the canopy when unconscious? PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
71st_AH Rob Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 You're correct , that's definitely sounds like a bug it should be impossible to pop the canopy or do anything else when the pilot is unconscious. I have not been able to reproduce it however. Do you have a video of it happenig? Otherwise Belsimtek are unlikely to take any action on it if it can't be easily reproduced. If there was still sound perhaps it is intended and the pilot isn't fully unconscious but is capable in a last desperate act to open the canopy but nothing else?
mytai01 Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 I popped the canopy before I fell unconscious. The BS part of it is that even after surviving the crash my pilot never woke up and he wasn't dead. That needs explanation by the developers. Is it a bug or something else. It should be explained! ED Team NineLine Posted June 22, 2016 ED Team Posted June 22, 2016 So a crash should wake the pilot up? Might be best to include a track when trying to report a bug. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
mytai01 Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) I decended from FL400 to 2,000 then started to experience blurry vision. I knew this would turn to full blackout. So, in an effort to preventing it, I popped the canopy and selected full throttle, hoping to regain consciousness before crashing. The plane climbed to about 12,000ft and was in a left 2.5g turn and started spirilling down for several minutes but my pilot never regained consciousness. The plane eventually pranged into the ground at about 250kts at a fairly shallow angle and spun around on the ground without killing the pilot, but again the pilot never regained consciousness. I guess they simulated a Russian pilot with a very unhealthy diet that drinks too much Vodka and it all finally caught up with him and he suffered a stroke followed by a deep coma! :) That's some simulation!!! Medic8ed Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) I saw your post in the other section. There are a lot of things missing in this bug report. In the other post you mention it occurred when you were at high altitude for a long time and occurred during your decent. In order for this to be taken seriously, you will need a replay to see what is going on. Based on your other post, you need to make sure that you pressurize the cabin and turn on the oxygen valve before takeoff. If you did that and still get this bug: 1. How high do you go before this occurs? 2. Maybe you ran out of oxygen if you were at high altitude for a long time? Just some food for thought. We all need more information before we can cry foul and yell at the dev's to fix something. I for one have never had this issue unless I turned off oxygen or depressurized. mytai01 Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 I discovered that the diluter valve on the KP-14 must be set with tab facing the front of the aircraft. I guess I've been breathing 100% Oxygen from takeoff to blackout and crashing. However, I still don't understand why after blowing the canopy off and being at 2000 feet MSL I don't wake up. This doesn't seem right.
