Hi I’ve tried to join the server this afternoon but upon spawning I could barely have 10 fps, I could see that there was 30 or so players, so it’s clearly from my end.

 

I never had problem before joining the server buy since 2.5 it’s another story, any pointer?

Have you been able to join other multiplayer servers without an issue?

Lots of people complaining about this issue just now. Someone (can't remember where) said it appeared to be ram related from loading the mission and it just gets bogged down too much to handle. Hope u fix it man :thumbup:

Alpen Red bases still lack ordnance specially for the mig. R-3R, R-13m1, Rockets and missiles. Re saving the missions seems to not fix that. You already might know that, but solution without manually fix all bases, is to make a preset to another base, then on the top of the page (supplies etc), you have a "copy to" option, to copy the preset to the needed bases. Hope this helps.

No kill info in chat? This something new dude or a broader multiplayer thing?

Messages seems to cause lag as well. Same as slmod. Top priority right now is to have a stable server. The release version will hopefully fix these issues so we can go back to normal.

 

As to the missing ordnance, it's the same with the release version. If that doesn't fix it then I'll have to do it manually.

Thought that might have been it, wasn't sure if it was my end. Seemed to be less lags but still some so progress. Server crashed on rotation, I've messaged Ironjokle on TS

I dig the idea of no messages at all.

And next should be removing F10 plane from the map.

 

 

Last that will make it perfect is to add random failures so it will keep us monitoring the gauges.

Is a shame that we don't have the possibility to simulate issues due abuse of the systems or airframe.

Because it will force you to use the navigation system the plane has and actually FLY the plane.

 

 

Also we can start using radials based on bulls that we define in the NDBs or ARC stations or whatever else you want to use.

That's already there in the Korean server, also it's not that bad, I think by keeping it, it'll be a bit easier to communicate with your peers about your 20

Ok so after flying quite a bit today.. the lack of chat updates is bad for two reasons in my opinion;

1. You can't identify friendly forensic incidents which as we have seen can be intentional.

2. It's fun taking the piss put your mates when you kill them.

Although it is quite cool having to rely more on SA as I've often used chat to take an educated guess as to how many jets are up and where etc.

I understand why it's gone for now and have no complaints.

F10 map is gay! It can go.. plus we have knee-maps anyway

It's temporary so yeah no worries there, mate.

The F-10 map will just be a MAP. Pilots wont be able to see themselves or any other units. JUST A MAP. Either you know how to navigate or I'm really sorry for ya!

1. Is a good point that I did not thought. Still I think is best not to know anything about what is going on, it helps people to work together and fly in formation watching each other tails. Also gives lots of value to the GCI role to declare who is who as GCI can do the forensics.

Simply radio will be fixed once the release version is available.

More GCI slots = more lag. 2 slots should be enough, don't you think?

@comie1 why sit in a GCI sloth when you cannot communicate with the rest ?

I hit the GCI/commander slot sometimes to just check out the situation. See how friendly targeted areas are doing or maybe spot a bandit anywheres. Then I leave the slot after 10-20 seconds and select an airframe. Certainly 2 slots should be enough.

Some explanation about IC in 2.5:

 

Server creation window GUI is obsolete and has limited functionality, use text editor for Saved Games\DCS\Config\serverSettings.lua

 

There are 3 parameters:

 

["require_pure_textures"]

["require_pure_models"]

["require_pure_clients"]

 

Third will check units database (Scripts) and at the same time it's 'master switch' for first two.

 

If you want to apply models check you must set ["require_pure_clients"] = true and ["require_pure_models"] = true

 

If ["require_pure_clients"] = false - no check will be applied and state of ["require_pure_models"] and/or ["require_pure_textures"] doesn't matter.
