matbog Posted July 10, 2023 Author Posted July 10, 2023 (edited) Then I designed 2 little PCB. The first is a generic board to mimic the thrustmaster board. It is very similar to the Debolesti's one but a bit smaller to fit in the grip. The second is a board which allows to manage the weird behavior of the multidirection switches ALPS RKJXM1 that I use. Indeed these switches activate the central clic each time a direction is activated... very boring behavior. The last step was to design the connector to attach the grip to the base. And here is my new grip sitting amonst his friends: Edited July 10, 2023 by matbog 3 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Mirage 2000C Pit construction 3D model of a Mirage 2000C Cockpit 3D model of a Martin Baker Mk10

Robert31178 Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Hey man, this is incredible!!!! I stumbled across this trying to find a picture of a Tomcat panel for a friend. Happily surprised to find this forum. I've got it bookmarked now and am very excited to see how it continues. Mirage is a way cool airplane and I love flying it. matbog Posted April 17, 2024 Author Posted April 17, 2024 (edited) Hi there! Today is a big day! After many iterations I finally managed to manufacture a mask for the LED of my PCA. A friend of my designed the PCB and it was make by JLCPCB. The face plate is a real one. The mask is done on my CNC with a 0,4mm bit, the digits are 7mm tall and 6mm wide. They are covered with tracing paper for a better light diffusion. Sadely, some LED are broken... Vinc_Vega Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 (edited) It's really hard to get 16 segment displays these days. You made your own Regards, Vinc Edited April 17, 2024 by Vinc_Vega 1 Regards, Vinc real life: Royal Bavarian Airforce online: VJS-GermanKnights.de [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
matbog Posted April 17, 2024 Author Posted April 17, 2024 There are 16 segments displays in the market but not this size. If I had design my own face plate I could have made the windows taller to fit market's displays but as I have a real face plate I had no choice. Fun fact: On the original instruments the segments are in fact filaments and there are way narrower.
