The_Joker_20 Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 But the Su25T did see combat over Chechnya did it not? A combat evaluation would also suffice as service considering it helped in a combat operation. Even with limited production.

frodrigues2016 Posted June 13, 2017 Author Posted June 13, 2017 What i meant by viable project...is that the F-20 is very similar to the F-5...so begining the F-20 project from the F-5....we could have here at DCS a F-20 in maybe half-the-time. Hey....i think people like famous aircraft that belong to history but others just like the thrill of flying a bad bird in combat and the F-20 is one of it [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ---- " In Peace.....Prepare to War "-------- Wishlist : F-4 Phantom / F-20 TigerShark / Su-34 Processor Core i7 4790, 32 Gb RAM, 2 Tb SSHD, GTX 750 2Gb, 1920X1080 Gaming Monitor, Senze Joypad, Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit, VMware Workstation 12 for WindowsXP with Office 2007 and Linux OpenSUSE for Net Access.
SkateZilla Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Avionics and Systems wise they are nothing alike. The External Looks Similar, but has significant changes, the cockpit would need to be nearly entirely re-done, along with the systems and PFM. it's not the "copy/paste" venture you think it is. Not even close to that completion ratio. They are totally different in avionics. High probability of even having to make the whole 3D from scratch let alone the systems. 1

Stratos Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Maybe as a mod? F-20 should have advancec avionics (ala F-16A I think) I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
antagonist Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 never went past prototype, doubtful. Actually, this is incorrect to my understanding. The plane had finished development, but due to legislature in the US was essentially prevented from being bought by anyone interested in it.
Kev2go Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Maybe as a mod? F-20 should have advancec avionics (ala F-16A I think) better actually Original F16A blocks did not have aim7 Capability, and no Multi function displays. F20 Did.
