Fri13 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Stay only in ED Store? If Steam has a massive sale on a module I don´t have, I buy it there and use the key in my standalone version. It´s steams fault it doesn´t work the other way. So it´s your fault for not switching and enjoying twice the sales. It´s like envying someone for having the balls to get up in the morning, rather then just staying in bed. You could have just said that you don't get it. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Fri13 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Its an ongoing thing, and real pilots would never try such a thing. Extreme envelope maneuvers are always extremely hard to represent in a sim simply for lack of data. Even several multi million dollar grade sims did not represent extreme envelope Behaivor realistically. Heck, some of the Helicopter sims I've been in with the Army didn't even have flight models as good as the Helos in DCS. Sim aviation has reached amazing heights, so let's give Razbam credit and time. I think that comes the simple case that real pilots are expected to follow the rules and they just need simulator train procedures and systems. Like reading the aircrafts crashes analyze documents show that aircraft designers don't even have an idea that something could go wrong, until so does and then it takes years to find a solution and fix. If a pilot is instructed not to fly faster than X speed, then simulator not covering that speed range over it doesn't matter as pilot has failed already when entering the speed range over instructed. Like look the basic driving license simulators, they don't simulate jaywalkers or a rabbits or mooses or most weather's... As you are training to follow signs and basic procedure. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Stuge Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I can't believe the amount of complaining here... this is a great stunt, bravo!!! On a side note, last I checked this is mostly useless in dogfight since flight is definitely very unstable at high AoA and loss of control is likely. The Flanker on the other hand.... now that is a beauty to fly without any computers interfering with control inputs <3 http://www.104thphoenix.com
ZHeN Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 and another one doesn't look like it's got FBW off [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ZHeN Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 (edited) we had some questions to the author of previous video regarding easy FM setting in DCS World settings menu, fuel amount and FBW and he made another video which answers all our questions: it turns out we're facing superefficient elevons & slats here, that work just fine at low speed ~85-100 knots CptSmiley ?? ZHeN Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 I'm also concerned about current engine performance - I can easily run away from F-15C or a Flanker, and they can't run away from me ... (I personally tested it in multiplayer with flanker at low alt and with eagle at high alt) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
bkthunder Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 I don't know. I've been dogfighting in the mirage and trying all kinds of crazy stuff and never got to similar results as in the video, not with fbw on and not with fbw off. What exactly are the conditions to recreate this? Are we sure the guy who made the video didn't modify some files? (I personally tested it in multiplayer with flanker at low alt and with eagle at high alt) Please see this quote in regards to top speed performance. Hey guys, not sure if I've chimed in on this issue yet but agree it is still being worked on. At this point I have some corrections in place but I'm trying to be VERY careful about what I change since a very minor change has many consequences so it may take a bit to get there but I have some fixes in place I've been testing for a while but want to check it out thoroughly before throwing it your way :) From here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2930176&postcount=60 Millenix | 68th Virtual Fighter Squadron AV8B | AJS-37 | F-5E | Mig-21bis | P-51D | Spitfire Mk IX | Bf-109 | M-2000C | A-10C | U1-H1 | Ka-50 | FC3
myHelljumper Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 The only problem in those vids is that the engine should flame out. Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
ZHeN Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 the problem is you can't do such a backflip on M2K [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
myHelljumper Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 (edited) Why not, maybe you can. But let's wait for the update before reporting anything on the FM. Pocket Sized Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 At some point after OP's video was posted the mirage FM was tweaked to add very violent wing drops above 40-50 degrees AoA. DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
