Hi

I think I am doing something silly that's not working with my kneeboard in the A-10C.

If I place my .png files in

C:\Users\<<username>>\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard

Then they show up in the game no problem. But if I place them in

C:\Users\<<username>>\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\A-10C

Then they don't show. Am I missing something?

Sorry for the silly question but I can't find a similar issue in the forums so I'm assuming it's just me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The kneeboard files should be specific to the mission, in my humble opinion. But each aircraft could/should have its default kneeboard in its folder.

Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. All released missions are available for free download, modification and public hosting, from my Wrecking Crew Projects site.

I have been pulling what hair I have left out trying to add the DCS beacon list to my Kneeboard , and it wont add it. Eventually I would like to add it to my JSGME. I added a kneeboard folder at /user/saved games/dcs/ and put the pdf in it but its not on the clipboard. I usually try to get the address right before adding it to JSGME but this one has me stumped.

any help would be much appreaciated. thank you in advance

You might want to check this out :- https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129341

If your folders are named correctly, then it should work. I just tried it with a bunch of checklists in jpg format for the spitfire MkIX downloaded from User Files here, & it worked OK doing it as you described in the 1st post.

@Andy1966: Do .pdf files work anyway? I tried adding one and it certainly doesn't appear. Don't you need to conver it to images before you can use it?

Thanks MKiii, that may be the problem, but I'm not sure how to convert it.

the other files in the Kneeboard folder are png format but jpg must aso work it looks like. I will check the link you posted. I found an existing kneeboard folder at program/dcs/mods/terrains/caucasbase/kneeboard. it has all the other maps and stuff in it also

JPG or png will work fine.

Kneeboard builder has a built in PDF to bitmap conversion. It's well supported by the author AlaskanGrizzly, with frequent updates, and well worth a look.

Even if you dont want to use it, it can be used as a simple converter. You just load a pdf into it and it saves the content as individual files into a folder.

You can actually switch profiles for diff aircraft with it and it automatically copy predefined checklists for you. Very nice app.

I had problems with this once. For me it was the fact that the kneeboard folder name actually had to be in caps, KNEEBOARD. I don't know if that has been patched away or not.
