NastyFruit Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Hi f4l0 Have you been able to take a look at that? I now tested, its also affecting the stall shudder effect, but most of the time only when turning right. So the g-effect is the effect that it happens the most easily to. Next in line, seems the stall effect, but mostly when turning right only. Even when those two effects are dead all the other effects work 100%, like the speed brake shudder. So I would be pulling many g's, stalling, getting no effects, but the moment I pull speed brake, I get those shudders. If I close the speed brake again, no effects. If I pause DCS for a few seconds, and resume, everything is instantly fixed again. Until I do the next, long, 0g dive. So it seems to not be limited to the g-effect only. Could you, and possibly anyone else test and see if diving at 0g for about 5 - 7 seconds makes some of your effects (Especially g-effect) go away? (Any module, including helos, but I can very easily replicate with harrier and A-10C. (Happens in 2.1 also) Kind regards
NastyFruit Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Did some more testing now, seems even a very short dive at 0.0g or 0.1g causes the issue for me. If I dive hard (-0.5 or more g, it does not happen.)
f4l0 Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 I usually only have time during the weekend/vacations for intensive testing/development. Currently I'm very busy with other stuff thus this might be postponed. AoA effect has been verified by real pilots thus I assume it works as expected. I personally have g-feelings disabled since it is total unrealistic, as reported by real world jet pilots... f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)

I personally have g-feelings disabled since it is total unrealistic, as reported by real world jet pilots... Thank you, I understand 100% re time constraints, will wait patiently. Re the effects, its not that I am saying the effects are not realistic / correct, I am sure they (The AoA as you mentioned) are very accurate. And when they are active, I also like them a lot. It just seems like there is a bug (Possibly only on my system, thus the request for others to test and confirm) that when I dive at a 0g rate, something goes wrong, and the effects get totally disabled (Mainly the g-effect (On subsequent pulls), but sometimes also the AoA effect, especially if I turn and "stall" to the right hand side) Pausing DCS for a moment (2s), completely fixes the issue, until I dive again. I hope I am explaining effectively. If not, I apologize. I am just very excited about the feedback my seat is giving me, and would just like to figure out what is causing it to misbehave like this. Thanks again for your time / effort! Kind regards

_schepper_ Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 If it is angle of attack, that i tink i never felt that before because of the g feeling... f4l0 Posted December 6, 2017 Author Posted December 6, 2017 AoA = angle of attack. With AoA effect I mean the stall/buffet effect when the AoA increases. The buffet and g feeling effect feel almost identical but the AoA is more important than g forces in turn fights/landing since it corespondents to air speed loss/bleed. That's the reason why I don't use the G-feeling effect. f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)
sze5003 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Looks like for the harrier I was able to test it out and main functionality works for general feedback which is what I wanted :) I also don't use the g Force feel enabled for now, don't think I've used it in the stable version either. Knock-Knock Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Isnt G feeling only running the motors under your legs, while AOA is running the ones behind your back? _schepper_ Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Hey f4I0 I managed to do some testing, For av-8b This time i stopt using g force and oke, i think its better witout, so thanks. For the stall shudder/vortex ring state, i think i discoverd a little problem, It is working fine, but when i fly above a speed of 400 they stop working, and when i am pulling g and bleading off my energie, the dont return and i am keeping losing energie. With this i really keep pulling g. And no vibration returns. When i redo the process at speed of 400, i get back the vibration when when i stop pulling below 400... center the stick and than pull again... and when i am below 400 te stall shudder/vortex ring is back. The rest of vibration seems fine at the moment, the only thing i need to do is the air refueling, Gonne do that now.. Here are my settings, if you got tips ore hints, happy to test diferent settings ---------------------------------------------------------- i7 2600K oc 4.7g / asus gtx 1080 gaming x+ / 16gig ram / ssd 500gig / oculus rift / jetseat se / saitek rudder ((next upgrade)mfg crosswind) / logitech warthog hotas + 20cm extention
_schepper_ Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Air refeul test donne, But was mistaken, its only the refeul arm that we feel of the plane, not the connection ore the feulflow ore somthing So the refeul arm feels good ---------------------------------------------------------- i7 2600K oc 4.7g / asus gtx 1080 gaming x+ / 16gig ram / ssd 500gig / oculus rift / jetseat se / saitek rudder ((next upgrade)mfg crosswind) / logitech warthog hotas + 20cm extention
f4l0 Posted December 7, 2017 Author Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) Yeah it seems the AoA is bugged from the Harrier... At least what DCS reports, thus I think it might be an early access thing... Maybe I'll implement a workaround... If you have some spare time, you could check if the AoA shown in the dcs debug view in SSA and the AoA displayed in the Harrier/F2 view are similar or not... NastyFruit Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Hi schepper, If you could, please test: Steps: - Use Harrier (Happens with other also, but harrier seems easier than A-10C/choppers) - Only enable g-effect (Disable all other effects) (This it just for test, its just easier to test with g-effect, but it happens to stall/AoA also) - Make mission where you start in air (Just to make it quicker to test) - Fly level, then pull up (About 3g, to verify the g-effect is working) - Fly level again, then push down, making sure the g does not go below 0g, but try to get it to exactally 0.0g or 0.1g. - Pull up again, and check if effect is still working. - Repeat a few times if possible. For me, more than 50% of the time, after that 0g dive, the g-effect (And sometimes the stall effect) does not work any more. If I then pause dcs, and resume, its back. I would just love to know if its my computer only, so that I can look for the issue on my side. Kind regards

If they seem wrong it might be a bug on the DCS side... f4l0 Developer of Simshaker for Aviators Feel the brrrrttt: [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums SimShaker for Aviators (simshaker-for-aviators.github.io)

Hi, yes, I checked, seems dcs is still passing the acceleration data through, the middle number if I remember correctly, looks like the straight up g. (Its in the 5.x range, but I still get no effect. Think I might have attached a snapshot of it a few posts back.) I have a friend that also got his seat recently, so will ask him to test also. Kind regards
