Moafuleum Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Hi When i looked in my bonus history, there is stated that my bonus was debited but i didn't buy anything with it. According to the bonus rules, the bonus should only expire when nothing is bought from the shop within of one year. Two weeks ago, i bought something, using no bonus points and about some months (but definitely in 2016) i bought something, using SOME but not all bonus points. Is there something, i didn't recognize in the bonus rules or is this just a technical error. I'm asking here first before opening a support ticket. thanks
ED Team NineLine Posted October 28, 2016 ED Team Posted October 28, 2016 If you purchase something using bonus points, you dont get bonus points for that purchase. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Moafuleum Posted October 28, 2016 Author Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) I know that but this was not my point. I meant that my bonus points, associated with my account were resetted to zero for no obvious reason. Before i got 6$ bonus. At a certain date, this amount was subtracted from my account without purchasing anything. Edit: I red the bonus rules to look for a rule, that explains this behavior. It is stated that, if nothing is bought from the ED store within one year, the bonus points vanish, but this was not the case. Edited October 28, 2016 by Moafuleum

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 28, 2016 ED Team Posted October 28, 2016 Most likely due to this https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2908140&postcount=50 Announcement! Due to an error in the e-shop software, bonus points for bundles purchases were calculated incorrectly in 2016. Corrections to user bonus points will be performed in accordance with rule 2.6., which allows for such corrections in the event of erroneous calculations. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? My $35 bonus accrued is automatically debited without any notice by the system within 6 month period. I have not used it for any buys and now that I want to use it is showing 0 bonus points. My Account shows the below status; 22-09-2016 16:06:18 Bonus debiting -$35.00 As per my calculations the bonus points were calculated correctly and I think auto-debiting them is a rip-off. Regardless I have raised a ticket. Check Six!!!__ ||AMD R7-2700X||ASUS ROG STRIX-X470F Gaming||SAPPHIRE RX 7900 XTX 24GB OC||GSKILL-TridentZRGB 16GBDDR4 3200C14||WARTHOG HOTAS||CORSAIR RM 1000X||

Moafuleum Posted October 29, 2016 Author Posted October 29, 2016 Ok Thanks for your reply, seems that i missed this little hint.
Snarf Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I have bought almost every module you or your subsidiaries have produced yet when I check my bonus history I have almost nothing nor have I been offered the opportunity to use bonuses till now. I note that I received bonuses only to have them deleted a day later. So in essence I get $10 off after buying virtually every aircraft you have released. That makes this bonus program utterly worthless IMO and a yes I feel ripped off big time.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 31, 2016 ED Team Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) you are not being ripped off. the only time they have been debited is on this occasion when ED made a mistake. They corrected the mistake in line with the bonus rules. have a read of the bonus rules, and how bonus points expire, if you feel yours is incorrect put a support ticket in. Snarf Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Having a 12 month life on bonuses where in my experience I haven't been able to use them most of the time and given the infrequency with which aircraft are released is a recipe for what has happened to me. $68 worth of bonuses cancelled without ever getting an opportunity to use them and the opportunity offered after they are cancelled. Maybe that's the rules but they are not fair or good rules and I do feel ripped off.
cichlidfan Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 While I am not a big fan of the bonus program, the rules are hardly unfair since it is a bonus that ED did not have to give out in the first place. It isn't like there aren't plenty of sales where you can get a reasonably good discount on the products. Yes I understand that the correction has to be made but its not a correction that the ED is doing. ED is wiping off the bonus amount to ZERO. Thats not correction. Since the bonuses were wrongly calculated then ED should adjust the correct bonus amount and not wipe out the bonus for all ... All of us have the bonus wiped out to zero... How is that fair? Wiping out the whole bonus balance under the guise of "correction" is hardly fair ... I see your point but sadly its not fair on ED's part and is causing a lot of resentment for the customers towards ED ... ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 1, 2016 ED Team Posted November 1, 2016 Bonus points are removed due to the correction if it was needed on the account and if a users bonus points have expired before they have been spent. Both situations are clear in the bonus rules. I certainly do not resent ED for giving me discount on purchases I have made, they did not have to create the bonus system at all. Redglyph Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Now I understand why my bonus is 0, I was wondering the same but didn't have the time to check all payments. Of course I do feel ripped-off! Even if that's not a huge amount of money, and even if that's in the rules (by supposing such a clause is legal), it's possible to reconstruct the "due" bonuses, so simply wiping them out seems dubious to say the least. The discreete little note without any details on what exactly went wrong does not help ease the feeling. Saying "they didn't have to do it" is not correct: they chose to do it, and if they offered these bonuses, it was to secure the loyalty of their customers. As a customer, if I see that I have a bonus by buying ED's products, I count on benefiting from it one day, I don't expect them to wipe it out because there was an error. Now, my feeling is I know I cannot count on those bonuses. I'm not saying it will stop me from buying, but I will see the prices differently, and will be more wary for sure. 1 System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 3, 2016 ED Team Posted November 3, 2016 the bonuses were added when people purchased a bundle, which itself is already discounted, so should not have been given bonus points when the mistake was noticed it was adjusted as per the bonus rules, the customer has not lost out, they still got a great deal.
