FalconPlot16 Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 i really tired of this annoying problem when im hovered and going somewhere with normal speed bird is slowly spins left or right i think this is rudder problem i've rudder trimmer activated in flight i always use bank autopilot but when im hovered helo this time heli is spining left like a crazy cant even control sometimes please help me i love this heli but i dont wanna get angry because of this problem
JG14_Smil Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Hello. Be sure to use the control indicator (I think it is RCTL ENTER) to see where your controls are going when trimmed. If your helo is spinning you need to make sure HDG AP control is on. There is a lot to learning the BS AP and its quirks, but it gets easy soon enough.
FalconPlot16 Posted October 30, 2016 Author Posted October 30, 2016 i didnt turned on hdg at this flight because when im going somewhere bird changes heading constantly so its spining again activating hdg or not it doesnt fix spin
Isegrim Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 You need to trim Also make sure to switch off Central position trimmer mode in Options menu/KA50. The Problem with central position trimmer mode is as long as your Joystick is not 100% centered the sim will not allow you to get control again. And some joysticks never get back to 100% center. Oh and the KA 50 yaws left and is Tail heavy from start ... as i have already written >you need to trim. "Blyat Naaaaa" - Izlom
cthulhu68 Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Helos like rudder trim in one direction and stick trimmed in the other to fly straight. Don't ask me to explain the physics behind it though.
FalconPlot16 Posted October 30, 2016 Author Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) its already turned off only rudder trimmer is activated i never encountered this problem on mi8 Edited October 30, 2016 by FalconPlot16
Rogue Trooper Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Ensure your rudder (pedal) trim icon is off in setup. Unless you have non return to centre pedals this function simply increases your mental workload if you have centring pedals. Switch on the joystick cheat as noted above... this will help sort any problems out. Do you have rudder pedals? FalconPlot16 Posted October 30, 2016 Author Posted October 30, 2016 no but i think trimming will solve this. is triming is holding trimmer button and leveling out plane then releasing trimmer button. is that it ?
cthulhu68 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) is triming is holding trimmer button and leveling out plane then releasing trimmer button? Get pointed in the direction you want to go, level or close to it, and quickly press and release trimmer. If its still not hovering quite right make adjustment with rudder and stick and quickly re-trim. Sometimes even re-trimming a third time to help fine-tune. To trim for forward movement same as above but stick forward a little before trimming. Keep in mind it sets as you release it not as soon as you press it. You can even set trim before taking off to help counter helos tendency to rotate or start movin forward as you increase collective. Edited October 31, 2016 by cthulhu68
FalconPlot16 Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 trimming partially fixed problem but why pedal is not dynamic like uh1 and mi8 ? ka50's pedal is static so its really bad also a screenshot before trim attempt if is there problem please tell me also i didnt know how to trim for ka 50 before
Amarok_73 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Falcon, rule of thumb is that You're flying with three to four augumentations always turned on. Four if You need altitude to be keept depending of BR/RD switch otherwise three. Then, all maneuvering You do with trimmer button depressed, what cause temporary disabling of stabilisation modes until You'll get postion which You want to stabilize. Otherwise, with stabilization enabled, but trimmer released, all Your inputs are partially suppressed, so You're fighting against helicopter trying to point him where You want him to point. Of course, there might be scenarios, where it can be reasonable to disable other stabilisators, like heading one, when You re trying to run around in circles, but most of time pitch, bank and heading stabilisation modes should be enabled. cthulhu68 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 If you're using buttons for rudders it's hard because they're on/off. I use mini joystick on Ch throttle for rudders because you can make minor adjustments like rudder pedals. That flashing B means Brake are applied. Press W to turn off.
FalconPlot16 Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 i confirm trimming will solved problem im checking it by pressing RCTRL Enter thanks finally trouble is gone i dont use pedals
ShuRugal Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Get pointed in the direction you want to go, level or close to it, and quickly press and release trimmer. You can even set trim before taking off to help counter helos tendency to rotate or start movin forward as you increase collective. It is worth noting that if you have a non-FFB stick, using the "move stick, then click trimmer" method will result in the trimmed position moving twice as far as you wanted. If you have a non-ffb stick, the correct procedure is "press and hold trimmer, move stick, release trimmer".
cthulhu68 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 It does seem to dip the nose down more then expected for me the way I do it. Thanks for clarifying.
