I tried to pre-order the Spitfire, but unfortunately the payment verification of the VISA (by Sage Pay) does not work. My card is valid, has already been used, the PIN is correct, and so on, so the issue is not on my side.

So unfortunately, until this problem is fixed, I can't buy ED's products anymore.

Has anyone else encountered the same issue with the new authorization procedure?

Will do, thanks! Just wanted to check whether I was the only one to get this issue.

Weird, I checked with my bank but nothing wrong on my end, and from the attemps they saw nothing was amiss. Must be some way to present the info from Sage Pay or another glitch.

Used Paypal since it was available again, and it was fine (and Paypal could withdraw from my bank account).

had the same VISA problem. no directly paying.

after the third try ("your bank did not authorize payment", "service temporally not available") i tried paying via paypal - still with the same VISA card.

that worked.

my bank called me today to check the payment, so they don't trust in the fighter collection?:poster_ban:

that's weird because i purchased the Gazelle 1 week ago and at that time the VISA-payement was no problem

now, finally i ordered and received my spitfire key.

blibet suber!

Yeah, I bought the Mig-21 two weeks ago without any problem. It could also be a problem between some banks and Sage Pay, though my bank could not tell me what was wrong, it didn't seem to be on their side.

I got a copy of Sage Pay's logs, kindly sent by ED's support, I'll see what the bank can say about it.

Yep, same problem to pay with VISA credit card from Germany. Sage-Pay failed for me at a second purchase. :-(

Same issue I had. My bank wouldn't authorize a payment to SagePay. Glad to see the PayPal option is back.

Ah, so it's not only in Europe. They should probably be probed concerning this problem.

I see I am not the only one having this issue. I had a conversation with my bank and it seems the problem is that they do not trust Sage Pay due to a lot of fraud issues coming from them or from international sources in general. Maybe time for ED to switch payment companies. Right now this issue is affecting their profit margins.

If that involves VISA card number theft, that would explain the problem I had this summer with a new card, but since I made a couple of other online payments in the same period I can't say for sure.

Hope it won't repeat this time.

My bank told me they do not allow international payments due to fraud.
