Not sure if this was asked already but would it be possible to make the F-15C nosewheel light move as you steer (like on the A-10C)? It can be pretty tricky to find your way in pitchblack when that light doesn't move in the direction you steer.

Thanks!

It's a wish, they could create it right? In 3DS terms, select light, link to front gear -> Done.

that would only be for animation and then it would look weird, also, i don't know how the programmed the light to it, so it may be a bit more than just that, and light is not a 3d model, so it won't work that way

Yeah but McDonnell Douglas doesn't agree with you. You still can ask Han Solo to install a hyperdrive, that's a few values to modify with a text editor…

I'll buy :

It might just be a marker that needs movement, anyway.. i hope ED can check if it's doable one way or the other.

what part of "it doesnt swivel irl" dont you get here?

why are you not suggesting better more realistic nighttime environment lighting instead?

That wasn't mentioned before, after watching some vids it looks like it's static indeed. I figured it was something missing from DCS compared to the real AC.

also if you contact tower it will mark you the outside of the taxiway so you know where the border is

What radio command would that be?

no, the taxi light isn't attached to the moving parts of the nose wheel

that was in fact the first response to your thread :)

That could have been the model in DCS, figured that's what he meant.

Ah well, lets see how the lighting in v2.5 is.. or the new lighting in v2.0.

A. The Light Position Is Controlled by Either a Helper Point or a 3DS Max Placed Omni/Spot Light, and Cannot Be modified outside of the source file.

B. The Real F-15C does not have a Light on the Part of the Nose Wheel that Rotates.

There is a 0% Chance of the Developers Adjusting the Model to be Unrealistic.
