Are those missile testures the same size in cdds as the test BMP ones were? They are HUGE. 512x512 for the fins and 2048x512 for the body is overkill. Try like 128x128 and 512x128 respectively instead. After making many missiles this will save alot of memory and quality difference is barely visible. .

Theres a bunch of other stock Lockon missile models wich wont show shadows on them either. All r-27/73 will have the wing shadow cast on them but r-77 wont just as the AIM-7 AIM-9, AMRAAM and maverick wont. Also look at Mustangs pics under the wing of the F-15. No wing shadows cast on any of these missiles. Heres my graphics.cfg Ahhh, that thing with the missiles not having shadows, the US ones, thats normal with ATI cards, this mod isn't the cause.

I ask because the files you sent me last night showed textures of ENOURMOUS proportions i.e. they were even bigger than runway textures. Edit: heres the results of this new version: :) .

But now everything seem to be working right, including the american missiles, now having shadows as well. What did you change? Very good! and the modification of the config file by updatecfg.exe is really cool.:thumbup: Another suggestion: Can you modify the exe for general purpose? If one can specify a cdds name as the exe's argument, any cdds mod can be installed/uninstalled automatically without ruining people's graphics settings. This will be a great mod tool. What did you change? Changed all materials to standart. Per pixel specular seems not to work properly on some rigs.

Mustang Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Excellent! everthing now looks good here :thumbup: finally we can have full shadows working on the AIM-7 and AIM-120 on our ATI cards!......just one little extra request though, can it be possible to look at the default AIM-9, i've attached a pic, it still hasn't got the shadow effect.......

I dont have textures on rockets, why? Did you install it using modman? If no, copy the updatecfg.exe to lockon directory and run it with -install parameter from command line. Or you can open up graphics.cfg and add a line common = ".\\Bazar\\World\\walmisWeapons.cdds"; under TextureCollections 1
