Shane45 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Hi Guys, I'm just looking for some advice from people who probably know a great deal more than me about computers. I am thinking of buying the computer below but would like some feedback on the specs, ie will these specs be suffice or better for DCS World ADMi GAMING PC (Intel Core I5 4460 3.2Ghz Quad Core CPU, AMD RX 460 4GB DDR5 Graphics Card, HDMI, USB3.0, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, 24x DVDRW Drive, 500W Bronze PSU, thanks guys
razo+r Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 If possible, take something like the GTX 1050/1050Ti or 1060, since a lot of games, including DCS like Nvidia more
Abburo Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 AMD 460 is far more better than GTX1060. The only thing here is to go for that one with 8Gb of VRam...far more bettter for higher resolutions. And also 16Gb ram is mandatory. An SSD drive will finally complete your setup. Romanian Community for DCS World HW Specs: AMD 7900X, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, HOTAS Virpil, MFG, CLS-E, custom
Demon_ Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) No. Upgrade the one you already have? http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-cpus,3986.html Edited November 18, 2016 by Demon_ Attache ta tuque avec d'la broche.
razo+r Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 not really: Anyway, I'd recommend you to watch some comparsions and benchmarks to the Hardware which is in your budget
Migo Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) From my experience DCS will stutter if it is not running on an SSD. AMD 460 is far more better than GTX1060. No. Just look at the charts http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_radeon_rx_460_strix_gaming_4gb_review,24.html Best Regards, Migo Edited November 18, 2016 by Migo
BitMaster Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 There are a few cornerstones I would check: A: get a "K" version i5/i7 so you can overclock, they all reach way over 4 GHz B: get 16GB RAM C: get an SSD for OS and DCS ( 256GB is usually enough ) D: depending on the resolution you play you need that many GB VRAM. 460 is safe for 1080p, if you aim 1440p you should go 470 or better 480 8GB if money allows, but follow A to C first imho. A recent i5 4th gen I did easily reaches 4.5 GHz aircooled with DarkRock Pro 3, or Noc. DH15 etc..
