Training Mission: Pronunciation of "Aileron"

While folks are helping to correct typos in the manual, it seems only right to do the same with the training missions!

 

In the start-up tutorial, the voice over pronounces the word "aileron" [ay-ler-on] as "airelon" [ay-rer-lon]. I guess I'm being ever so slightly pedantic in mentioning it, but it's a pet irritation of mine! :smilewink: Aced only by people saying that a cockpit has "good visibility" when they actually mean "good field of view". :thumbup:

Not being a native speaker, I admit I was wondering if it was the result of Smudge's dialect/accent, wherever in UK he comes from, or if he actually doesn't know how to pronounce it correctly :D. That is an interesting question.

It may be, but as we're dealing with a highly complex and authentically modelled simulation, the official tutorials may at least refer to its contents correctly, both written and verbally. Particularly as the tutorials are tasked with teaching people! If it was written incorrectly, it would be pointed out immediately! :cry:

Off topic but someone else noticed there not 303 shells when guns are fired well there not going to be. I found the tutorials fine.
