Game Crash with Spitfire

It has been a while since I have had one of these.

Have been flying the take off instant action for the Spitfire, on this one had taken off and been in the air only 5 minutes or so. The game froze with sound still playing briefly, then ended with DCS has stopped responded and will close.

Latest open beta version of DCS.

Are you talking the dcs.log file?

 

If so I may have already overwritten , as I flew another mission since?

Ok sorry about that, when/if it happens again I will be sure and save it also.

Ok just had the same crash with the Spitfire again. Free flying around in the take off mission, after about 15 min the screen froze followed shortly after by DCS has stopped responding and click ok to close the progam.

Usually when getting this type of crash it is best to do a fresh install of your graphics driver,

 

use one of the driver cleaner utilities and install fresh Graphics drivers

I had my GPU overclocked, so I lowered the overclock a good bit and so far has been doing fine - may be too soon to tell but that may have been it in my case.

Do you have any mods installed? If you have mods installed when updating it can cause issues.

I'm using the Nvidia graphics driver 376.48 so I'll try to get the older 36X.xx and I'll let you know. Pet

I have considerably more time in with the Spit, same mission, and have not seen a crash again.

Apparently it was my GPU overclock, since reducing it the thing has been rock solid.

Sorry for the false alarm and thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction!

Uploaded an old favorite stable driver 368.69 for GTX970 as it randomly crashed. I did more underclocking of the graphics 1204 MHz and yet shortly the same thing. I keep the extra log from Afterburner.
