What are these and why are they missing?

I was trying to learn the A10c Lighting system today and when I spawn in the dark and turn on the Flood lamp it's still pretty dark. I was watching a video(first pic) and in his cockpit it looks like he has extra flood lamps and other stuff that is not in my A10c cockpit.

 

What is this stuff and why is it missing from my pit? It's still pretty dark even after I turn on those back flood lamps!

the middle item is a canopy knife. It the electric systems fails the pilot can use it to punch through the glass canopy to escape. it is a heavy short knife.

The canopy breaker tool is a last resort if the canopy can't be raised manually. I've only seen it used a handful of times personally.

Was the same for me the other day in the F-5... looked to the left, didn't see the air vents, thought this was a glitch for sure; thought to myself... hmmm, they only appear when airborne. But then I realized that when airborne my canopy is usually down... so there's that... :)
