Wrench Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Hey guys, I've started working on a tool to create radio presets pre-mission with OpenOffice calc. I don't think the macro it uses will work in excel, but you're welcome to try. The idea is you can set up your presets via drop-down lists, and export it to .lua. It spits each preset file out into a subdirectory named for each radio. This is done using relativity, so it creates the folders wherever you have the .Ods stored. Anyway, how it works: You select you presets via drop-down and then run the macro. It will spit .lua files for each radio. Each of these files goes into a directory for each radio namely VHF_AM_RADIO, VHF_FM_RADIO, and UHF_RADIO. Then you just copy those folders into your mission file. (this is done by changing the .miz extension .zip, and then back when you're done.) In the spoiler section are some screen shots to show how it works. This work much more seamlessly than the previous version, which did not create the directories. Anyway, hope some of you find d it useful.RADIO_FREQ_GENERATOR.zip Edited February 11, 2017 by Wrench Updated .ods, screen shots 1 Carrier Script.

raymondabel Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 simple question: where to copy all 3 extracts?
Wrench Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 They go inside the .miz file. explanation on that: .miz files are really just .zip files and can be opened with 7zip as-is. If you do not use, or care to use 7zip, you can rename them to a .zip file and open it with window/other archiving software. Inside the .miz, should be three directories. VHF_FM_RADIO VHF_AM_RADIO UHF_RADIO Inside which you will put the SETTINGS.LUA files that excel creates. Carrier Script.

I hope the topic is not outdated... HI. I may have misunferstood what you meant, but simply tune their radios in your radio set. If you mean to listen to AI conversation other than your flight /wingman, no, besides then tanker/AWACS. With Voice Attack, you can buy ab add-on to hear radio Chit-Chat, but it is a recording, not relevant to the mission. I hope I did not bothered you. Saca111
