Yeah, i figured it out, i can release chaff and flare in like 1 or .5 seconds if i always press the release button, but not with how chuck described it, also he described it different than the manual

For some reason it reads NORMAL, MOTTAG?, and SAND for me (see attached picture):

Not sure what to make of that?

That label says "Emergency transmitter FR 29", and that is a radio.

Normal = normal

Sänd = Transmit

Mottag = Recieve

Guess that textures should be somewhere else =)

Seems like that FR29 radio only was used in the JA variant, so the cockpit modeller probably used textures based on a JA cockpit. Assuming that the JA variants had this KB switch replaced with this radio functionality. Which makes sense since they had a different CM system.

And it is not the only button in the cockpit that has another functionality in the JA varaint (airbrake is another one).

Maybe it should be listed as a bug :)

Is it possible to change the release program for the flares or is it always the same per second release program?

If the manual is correct, you should not be able to change the rate (or program) of the flares.

This is because in the manual states that

Note. Flares can only be released via the quick release mode.

and

The quick release will supersede all other ongoing programs.

So any program you set up and activate via INT/KONT will be overruled by the quick release, which is the only way to release flares.

I think, Chuck's guide is not quite correct when he says that the other programs change the release of the flares.

The manual also says that flares will always be release according to program two (P2). However, I found that chaff and flares in mode R+F are released simultaneously every two seconds. Therefore,

In mode R+F, chaff is dispensed according to program 2, with a single flare every other second.

does not make sense to me. I expected that chaff and flare release would be alternating.

I was able to change the flare program to manual mode, not the default automatic release

Not sure what you mean exactly? Releasing via the "fast countermeasure dispense" button?

I am able to release them via a single press with this button. When i press it, it releases once and ends. Not like the default where you have to press twice to stop it. Also i am able to dispense them in like .5 seconds interval when i'm continuously pressing that button

It still doesn't work correctly. That INT/KONT switch has been bugged since release.

Would be nice to see it adressed, even if the viggen doesn't have internal countermeasures it's quite an important feature.

How is it bugged mbot?

Furthermore it has the wrong texture. It is actually showing the texture copied from the JA 37 where there is an emergency transmitter at the same exact position.

Can you please update the texture? As a Swede it's really annoying to have some totally unrelated text there.

The switch was fixed in the latest beta ! Thank you very much :). Programs work but one issue is the keybindings for the switch don't work. The texture is also wrong but it is already reported.
