Ice Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 We Are Up to Beta 27 and working hard. As far as StarForce goes. It would be much more fun complaining about the Licensing sw of Flight Sim X. Its a fact that if you enter the install code for the third time, all broadband Modems on that telephone exchange start flashing in morse code. "SATAN IS COMING" until the associated power grid is shut down and retarted again. :pilotfly:
hitman Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I dont think its your morse code I think its your spelling. · · ·· ——· —— · Edit: Is it me or am I missing a whole lot of dots here??
Slammin Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 This is a FORUM for LOMAC_FC_BS and any questions about forthcomming new releases are valid. I think Mr. EricJ ought to rethink his rude american style STFU response to a simple polite question by Weta43. I found it quite repulsive. I also remember that Beta #'s were being openly reffered to by the Beta Testers prior to the FC addon release. Regards, "american style STFU" LOL, I like that one a lot! Slammin Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Cheers, See - Beta 22 - they MUST be doing something ;-) Now I'm happy .... Of course they are. I think what has been alluded to is the fact that if they say they are on beta 22, and three weeks go by, they probably don't want to have to tend to questions of the whereabouts of beta 23, especially if it only took a week to go from beta 21 to beta 22. I personally would rather not get a blow-by-blow at that level of detail, and know enough right now to have confidence that they are working as hard as possible, especially since I've not heard anything regarding this project being cancelled. Prophet_169th Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 You mean Slammin's comment? ^^ He is simply saying if everyone was told which beta build we were on, and say it took 1 week to go from b22 to b23, then people would expect in another week to see b24 out, when it doesnt really work that way.
Weta43 Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 No ... - I just meant that I had every confidence that they were working on it... I've just had a month at work where some data in a a reference table in one of our databases became corrupted (someone touched something they shouldn't have...) & the reload of the data after that corrupted data in another table, which threw revenue reporting out for the whole company, and the fix for that threw other revenue figures out etc etc... + it's only VBA, but I write enough code at work to know that chasing bugs isn't straightforward - what seems like a little error in something that's nearly finished can lead to you discovering that your whole approach to the problem is flawed. But - in defence of my original request - the best way to induce a conditioned response is to sporadically reward the desired behaviour & if you want people to be 'addicted' to looking forward to LOBS, the best way is to not constantly, but occasionally (often enough that they don't loose interest) reward people with signs of advance. OK - I guess that's my last post on the subject (till we're waiting for 1.21) Cheers.
