dbw Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Slould one become available in the future for this or the mig 21 I would buy either or both.
cichlidfan Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I would go ahead and plan on printing it yourself. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8GB, Corsair HX1000i, Phillips BDM4065UC 40" 4k monitor, VX2258 TouchScreen, TIR 5 w/ProClip, TM Warthog, VKB Gladiator Pro, Saitek X56, et. al., MFG Crosswind Pedals #1199, VolairSim Pit, Rift CV1
dbw Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 I hear you. I did get the KA50 and fc3 manuals when they were available and they are nice to have.
cichlidfan Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Those are nice, and I have both of them as well. If you were to print it your self, at home, the cost to have it spiral bound at a place like FedEx/Kinkos is negligible. Specter1075 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 There was an A-10 manual available on Lulu.com. Black and white, but well made and bound, for only something like 35$. It appears to no longer be listed. If someone was feeling ambitious, they could format the PDF (give it a proper cover, etc) and have a printed copy of the Viggen manual fairly cheap. (I'd get one too!) https://www.lulu.com/ Has the manual been updated since initial release? There were quite a few things waiting to be added at that point.
sideshow Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I brought up printed manuals a while ago in a different thread. Everybody immediately suggested using an IPAD ect. Personally I prefer printed manuals. Way easier to scroll through, bookmark pages, ect. I even suggested these 3rd party developers offer printed manuals as something we could purchase separately. I for one would purchase manuals for every module I own. Having some manuals on lulu.com was a good Idea. Have no ideal why they were taken off.
Knock-Knock Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Could be license issues, its no longer in digital form. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
R1Lawsy Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Its the only thing thats painful about VR - checking the manual all the time when you are learning... I agree that printed manuals are so much better, reading off a screen is painful...
Flappie Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Has the manual been updated since initial release? Not that I know. The last version of the manual was issued on the 5th of January. ---
NeilWillis Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I'm guessing both manuals will still be getting some updates, as the sytems etc are completed on the Viggen, and also when they get round to a final iteration of the MiG-21 Biss. I am holding off on getting hard copies printed for just that reason.
Airbusdriver Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Staples in the UK ususally print stuff for you. Before the days of iPads I sometimes needed an airline manual prited to be able to study easier. Pdf format on a USB stick and they sorted it in a couple of hours. With ringbinder and clear plastic front and backcover on A5 format it usually costed about £20 for about 300 pages
