Hi Guys,

I am by no means a frequent flier of the Huey, but I have some very, very minor things that I'd to see added/fixed for the Huey.

  • The first thing is a pilot flashlight, just the same thing we get in the MiG-21, just to help starting the thing at night - it can be a bit of a nightmare.

  • Second thing is the zoom for the co-pilot, this is more probably a bug rather than a missing feature - it's just at the moment you can't zoom in as far as the pilot which can get pretty frustrating.

  • Lastly is the searchlight which moves in a very stepped fashion, I'm not sure if it's realistic but I doubt that it is. It would just be better in my opinion to have it move more smoothly.

These are really only minor inconveniences and nothing more, they don't by any means make it unflyable.

Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk.

Yes, you are right. Meanwhile something is provided, try to turn on your NVG, till the moment you turn the battery on. Another thing you can do is request ground power and then proceed with the preflight check.

There are a flashlight, with two colors: green and white. It is to the left of the pitot selector, search "Dome LT"

He's requesting a handheld pilot flashlight that is not dependend on the aircraft power system as seen in the MiG-21 and other modules. It's something different than the cockpit lightning you're talking about, which depends on the aircrafts power system.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
