Hello everybody,

Have been having a lot of fun with the huey in my oculus rift headset!

Now I'm thinking of buying the ka50 black shark just to have a bit of a smaller more modern cockpit. How does it look in vr. Is it any good? The huey is pretty amazing in vr.! Does it have an impact on fps, I mean my gtx970 is struggling sometimes allready.

Would I need improved graphics mod for black shark because it's almost 10 years old?

Thanks for your input!

Gazelle is pretty damn nice in VR as well. I haven't fired up my BS2 since I have the upgrade to BS2 from BS1. And my BS1 is the disc version that I can't be bothered to find! :)

I love the bs2 in vr,

it is mutch more easy to fly with the electronicks and dual rotor.. but you have to know more for flying it :)

in vr it looks verry good... i have olmost every plan and helli of dcs and even the 10 jear old bs2 it still looks really good and a lot of campaings

The black shark is great in VR it's not as optimised as others but won't be much different than the Huey, but as hansangb says the Gazelle is pretty dam good!! I find it is the best at giving you the feeling you're flying a helicopter it can be a bit tricky to fly but once mastered you.won't go back, I fly the Gazelle most of the time.

You wont believe it if you get into the pit in vr for the first time. You havent flown without VR before. Get it!

What others just said - it is great. One minor issue though - is due to 1:1 head tracking ratio it is kinda pain in the ass to deal with the switches behind your back.

I find the helmet mounted gunsight reticle not central. It's an inch up from centre and I'm having to lower my head to get lined up with a target. Otherwide, as others have said it's excellent.

I find the helmet mounted gunsight reticle not central......

For some reason the aiming reticle is not centred when you re-centre your view, the game is but not the reticle seems independent... it seems to be directly linked to the headset position, not the position in game.... move your headset down on your face and reset your view and it becomes correctly aligned... for me anyway...

vr in BS2 is excellent, have experienced no issues with many hours of flying.

Agreed.

While I don't have a lot of hours in it yet, as have been mainly flying the Spit, the KA-50 in VR is splendid!
