Could we please get more realistic radar display down the road...

First photo seems from a really low res camera from old times...

 

no way man, looking at 35:35 of the video, the HUD seems very clear and nice like the razbam one. i doubt the Radar screen would looks worse in the screen than in the HUD (Talking IRL).

Holy.. i think you trolled me really hard. I couldnt find that radar screen in the whole video. im mad now.

What I am pointing out is not the quality of sharpness, but symbology is totally different size and selected target has info different as in dcs

Also in video one can see how the scan line is functioning

If the goal was to simulate the phosphor CRT screen similar to the image shown then the DCS module could do a lot better in terms of fonts, screen geometries, kerning, and the background color. If practical a simple post process pass for phosphor bloom would go a long way too. For one thing the CRT is curved surface.

100% agree

 

I think more devotion needs to go to the subtle details from CRT displays (including CRT fed HUDs).. from all devs.
