Jazz_44 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I'm trying to takeoff from the carrier. After asking the tower to T/O clearance, the blast protector is activated from the ship, but the wheel chocks are not? I can't find a key command to raise the wheel chocks. What am I missing? I also tried to press U in order to place the aircraft in a takeoff position, but it won't activate the chocks either. Thanks.
Jazz_44 Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 Anyone able to successfully takeoff from the carrier in the Su-33?
Kayos Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I don't think they are working. If you have a full load take off from the position back further. If you want to from the front on use less fuel and missiles. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Jazz_44 Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 Thanks Kayos, the issue is that I'm playing a campaign, and I don't think there is a way to change my configuration for that mission. So the wheel chocks are not simulated?
ReviZorro Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Not yet, will be fully functional in new version of Kuznetsov Carrier. For now - try to taxi to the back side of deck runway to increase distance of take-off. Apply wheel brakes and 30% of thrust, wait for maximum RPM, release wheel brakes, apply 100% of thrust and use Military Power. Jazz_44 Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 Looking forward to the new Kuznetsov carrier. Thanks for the tip Madbrood, didn't think of that!
shonist Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 im playing the campaing (or something like that) just letting my wingman die, and then taxing to the back of the deck to take off. that or wait for the fuel dump. Kayos Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 You have to edit all the missions and set you and your wingman accordingly. Hopefully they will fix the campaign soon. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ked Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 You can hold shift+W to double the brake pressure, will act as wheels chocks
lemoen Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 You have to edit all the missions and set you and your wingman accordingly. Hopefully they will fix the campaign soon. You can just change the loadout in the mission planner, take away some missiles and some fuel.

Now with the PFM you would see that they don’t actually have a physical (physics) presence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
