MBot Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 After having locked up a target with RB 75 (TV), there is a discrepancy when releasing to T0 between trigger save and trigger unsafe: Trigger safe: Releasing TV->T0 unlocks the target and bore-sights the Maverick seeker. Trigger unsafe: Releasing TV-T0 keeps the target locked. In order to bore-sight the Maverick seeker you have to go T0->T1->T0 again.
Rudel_chw Posted October 15, 2017 Posted October 15, 2017 When I get near the target, I press T1 to get the ep13 sight on, then move the cursor over the target, the press TV to lock the target ... all this while the triger is on SAFE. When I'm within range, i go UNSAFE and press the trigger. If I want to immediately use a second missile, I go SAFE and then UNSAFE, then repeat the process ... I only press TV when I want to break the lock and target a different object. MBot Posted October 15, 2017 Author Posted October 15, 2017 Regardless of the actual technique employed, the question is should the TV->T0 behaviour differ between trigger safe and trigger unsafe.

This behaviour still exists, but it's still not clear if it should behave like that or not. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Streicher Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Probably impossible to know because one was not able to press the T0/T1/TV switch like that without breaking something
Flappie Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 (edited) The RC2 manuel says: Quote The missile can be bore sighted by releasing the fix trigger (T1 – T0) or setting the trigger to SAFE – UNSAFE (page 320) The Viggen module clearly doesn't act like this. In my opinion, it's bugged. Edited February 15, 2021 by Flappie ---
