Inspired by ebabil's snowy runway wish, Id love to see the lakes and rivers / streams be covered in ice, if the mission temperature is set below, well something stupid cold, like -10c or something.

Just a visual thing. No need to go all crazy with ice physics :)

Icing conditions, even on airplanes, would be really cool.

I Think Yo-Yo talk some time ago the P-51 was icing conditions implemented, but not remember where.

If I were ED, I would not attempt this. With all of the variables involved there would be far too many people that would feel that it was not implemented correctly.

I don't think that the P-51 has icing. I'd like to see a quote from Yo-Yo if you can find it.

Icing conditions are pretty simple :

L36qpPu.png

Point de rosée = Dew Point

Température = Temperature (Obviously)

Nuages = Clouds

Givrage = Icing

Léger = Light

Modérer = Moderate

Sévere = Severe

So you can simply say if conditions are between this and this, and if clouds are on. Then icing conditions starts. Almost every sims has it. X-Plane more immersive than others, but i'd be perfectly fine with some pitot or engine icing.

OP is talking about frozen lakes and steams.

Now it would be cool to land on a frozen lake and skid along like ducks landing on a frozen lake.

I know that if is very cold -10 or colder you cannot start the huey using the batteries, gound power has to be used (was confusing first time I tried this)
