Mr_sukebe Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Got a weird one in my Rift. Whenever I fire it up, it's started to display a semi-transparent touch controller to the lower right of my vision. It's in both game and out of game. Bit odd as I don't even have any touch controllers. Anyone know how to disable it? Note that I don't think it's caused by DCS. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
dburne Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 What version of Oculus Home are you running, 1.20 Release or 1.21 Public Test Channel ( Rift Core 2.0)? Are you seeing the phantom touch controller in the Oculus Home display in your Rift? The game will display in some cases gloves if Touch controllers are active, are you just seeing a controller? Of course if you don't have Touch obviously you should not see anything. Probably first and easiest thing I would try is restarting the Oculus Service. johnco61 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I see the controllers sat on top of my canopy at the moment, I do have controllers but see them even with the batteries removed
Delta99 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I think this is something new with the new Oculus software. Although it’s been around for a while for me with gloves being displayed in DCS. Seems to be worse now though with the new Oculus software. I haven’t found a way to disable that shit yet. My Missions: Valley Patrol Mission :: Valley Escort Mission :: A2A Engagements
dburne Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 That is odd, I just make sure my Touch Controllers have gone to sleep, and I do not get them in DCS... Mr_sukebe Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 I resolved it by updating the settings in the Oculus software, i.e. Oculus/Settings/Beta/ then changing the "Use Classic Oculus home..." to YES (Blue). 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Still odd, I am using the new Beta also without the issue. greenhut Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 I am also running the home beta, but see large gloved hands (not the touch controllers). I can wave the hands around, but they dont do anything. -- ASRock Z370 Gaming K6 | Intel 8600K @ 5.0| 16 GB DDR4 3000 | nVidia GTX 1080Ti | Samsung 850 Pro 512GB M.2 | TrackIR 5 | Rift CV1 | TM HOTAS Warthog | Win 10 x64 |

johnco61 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Yes the gloves have been there for a long time, that's if the sensors can see them and they are on but if I use the beta oculus home I see the touch controllers (not Gloves) on top of the Harrier canopy even if my controllers are off with no batteries
NeilWillis Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Turn on the controllers, move them to a location outside your field of view (such as behind your seat), remove the batteries from the controllers. Problem solved.

Problem solved. That will solve the problem with gloves visible in the cockpit but as I said in my last post it doesn’t solve the issue with the controllers being visible
NeilWillis Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Yes it does, they are not in your line of sight, so they are effectively invisible. That aside, if you have an issue with Rift software, why are you raising it on the DCS Forum? If you want answers, try the correct location to get them.
johnco61 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 I haven't got an issue with it I'm just commenting on an issue raised by someone else, I suggest if you have an issue with what's being posted on this site don't bother yourself commenting
