I'm getting a constant right hand bank on take off as soon as I pull back on the stick.

This is much more than a couple of degrees that you would maybe expect based on weapons load, more like a 25-30 degree bank.

Trying to fly straight and level, same is encountered.

The issue is not present in DCS 1.58.

I have tried various things - recalibrating controls, reinstalling DCS2.0 and the A-10C module.

A copy of my track file can be found in the following thread where I first posted about this issue:

From your track, it appears to be the Nevada Takeoff Instant Action mission. There is significant wind in the mission. Try a bit (or a lot) of left aileron to counter during your roll out. You can see it in the pitch ladder once off the ground, it moves far to the right.

Jim,

Many thanks. Tried applying some left aileron trim and that seems to have worked.

Reason I didn’t suspect the wind was lined up on 03 it gave the wind as 4m/s at 95 degrees in the briefing. The actual wind seems to be from about 275 degrees, given the need to have left hand aileron applied.

The problem is that the wind that is shown in the briefing is "wind to", not "wind from", so it's almost perfectly inverted (plus, it's based on true north, so with roughly +6° magnetic variation in the Caucasus region, in your example I believe the actual wind would be 269°).

Gentlemen,

if you wish to see the "correct" wind data including for the levels (if set by mission builder) use this mod (simple install via JSGME or similiar program.

Passes IC check and work in Nevada as well as in Normandy and Caucasus.

Excellent idea!

I heard about this mod, but haven't used it myself yet. Probably going to give it a go sometime soon.

Try it and I guess you´ll like this mod.

In case the mission developer did set multiple wind layers and temps you get all the data you need for wind correction input with CCRP bombing (dumb bombs) in LASTE page. Explained in https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66422
