Does Thrustmaster MFD's work for the Harrier

Hey Guys

Not sure if this has been asked but I have Thrust master MFD's setup in the game and when I go to the Controls section in the game Its already setup but when I'm in the cockpit of the Harrier none of the buttons are working.

I'm assuming that it's not in game yet? Anyone..Thanks in advance

Take a look at the way RAZBAM has programed the buttons. TM starts from the top left, and counts clockwise. RAZBAM starts from the bottom left and goes clockwise. As an example, the bottom middle button is the Menu button. TM's number for that would be 13. RAZBAM counts it as 18.

I had to re-assign the buttons on both of my MFD's but they work like a charm now.

I have the MFD's and they are working great in the harier. They were already configured also. Haven't tried to adjust anything yet.

Anyway you can post your saved controls file for the MFD's Razor. I see the buttons lite up when I press them but this is kinda French to me..I would appreciate it alot.

They work withno problem. But you cant change the assigned buttons ingame because they are coded with a seperate file you can find in "AV8B > input > Joystick > F16MFD (path is just partially correct, im not at home)

I actually never tried the 4 decrease/increase buttons on each unit if they do anything.

I look for it when I get home. I just thought it is easier if someone could just post it here their settings file for others to use. So we can just pop it in the folder and overwrite. If you could post them please do. Ill look tonight at that path you described.

Mate, it's plug and play, there's nothing to do: they're automatically recognized and bound to the appropriate in-game equivalent. You can't even change them directly. If that's not the case for you, then there's something wrong on your side.

I don't where to get the cfg files, but if you find the path and I'll upload them tomorrow (going to sleep now :) ).

I have not seen what the other guys are talking about. When I pushed the menu button (middle button on the bottom row) on my TM MFD's, nothing happened. I had to go into the controls section and assign every one of the MFD buttons as they are listed. It is very easy to do UscsTaylor, just tedious. I'm not sure how to post a .lua file in here but you can PM me your email address and I'll be happy to send you those files for both MFD's. :thumbup:

That's what we see (and I guess everyone is supposed to see):

As I press printscreen to get the shot the focus moves from the OBS, but you can clearly see the darker columns. Those have always been pre-assigned, I've never had to do anything.

I wonder if is a problem of the Harrier or ED's.

The commands are hard coded in mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\joystick\F16 MFD 1.lua and F16 MFD 2.lua. If you want to assign other commands to them, then you need to add a link in the files to the keys commands.

To do this, modify the top of each lua to read like this:-

return {

local res = external_profile("Mods/Aircraft/AV8BNA/Input/AV8BNA/Keyboard/default.lua")

forceFeedback = {

},

keyCommands = {

That is odd, mine worked straight away just like the A-10C. Basically plug and play as someone else mentioned.

I leave my Cougar MFD's plugged in all the time so they were already to go when I installed the module. Do you leave yours plugged in? Just a thought.

Just an FYI Guys,

I've had my MFD's since they first came out. I don't know how old anyone's else is. I have mine plugged in and when I go to into the game I see them switching in the Control Panel and I'm watching them move from button to button as I'm pressing them.

When I go into the game in the cockpit and I'm pressing them in the AV8BNA they were not moving....Now I only pressed a few to test so I didn't test them all. So obviously for me its not 100% PNP. Thanks for the input though guys. I hope this can get fixed. Razor was nice enough to send me his MFD files so Ill try them out tonight...Ill post back here the results.

Ah, well there goes that theory... be nice to track down why it works on some and not others.

Glad you hopefully have a workaround, rather than having to assign them all in controls.

Just curious Uscstaylor, did they start working as a result of the .lua files I sent you or did you do something else. Just trying to understand if I need to do something different once the Hornet comes out.
