On another note: at least it seems like the Auto Pilot, and Altitude Hold is working.

I am working on the moving map right now.

It requires a rewrite of the entire EHSD, that is why it takes longer than expected.

Seems not to be the case, despite the announcement.

At least I have not figured out how to enable it.

I ask something, what partially deny the realism target. But could it be possible to have that moving map itself be swappable by the player if the official and realistic map doesn't... fill the needs of the user?

Like I would love to see the KA-50 (aka F-10 aka Mission Editor) kind map data used in a A-10C, instead its terrible low resolution mushy scanned with all scanner errors, where you can't even really see anything well than where is your general direction! While with ABRIS you can actually use it as your benefit.

I would so much love to use the actual Russian maps

But they didn’t stop there. The Soviets made far more detailed maps of some parts of the world. They mapped all of Europe, nearly all of Asia, as well as large parts of North America and northern Africa at 1:100,000 and 1:50,000 scales, which show even more features and fine-grained topography. Another series of still more zoomed-in maps, at 1:25,000 scale, covers all of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, as well as hundreds or perhaps thousands of foreign cities. At this scale, city streets and individual buildings are visible.

And even that wasn’t the end of it. The Soviets produced hundreds of remarkably detailed 1:10,000 maps of foreign cities, mostly in Europe, and they may have mapped the entire USSR at this scale, which Watt estimated would take 440,000 sheets.

All in all, Watt estimated that the Soviet military produced more than 1.1 million different maps.

Such detailed maps, even when using modern Google Maps or Open Street Map data... It would make so much more interesting to fly around different places. In multiplayer the Integrity Check would of course require force official map but... Still.

So somehow to get a the image files of the maps and get them mapped for the actual positions and it would just be cool mod project for some.

The Map page has been there before this update - so nothing new.

I guess it simply didn´t get into this update.
