escaner Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I cannot tell whether the INS buttons are illuminated or not (they always look like they are). The change in intensity is very dim. First screenshot off, second all on with TEST. PS: Not sure whether this is a new bug or not, but I cannot find any report, I have just tried to start with the Mirage for the hundredth time. It happens both with and without deferred shading. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jojo Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I think that DCS 2.5 and its "differed shading" screwed all lighting systems... Mirage fanatic ! Jojo, you missed my PS below the screenshots ;) With Deferred Shading OFF, at midday it is just the same. Still with DS OFF at dawn it is easier to see but not good at all. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Still with DS OFF at dawn it is easier to see but not good at all. Indeed. On my computer & screen the buttons are son bright (PCN, AP and so on) that I can barely read them. And it's differed shading. What is you gama setting ? (default 2.2 ?) Mirage fanatic ! escaner Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 The original screenshots were taken yesterday with DS ON and gamma I guess 2.0 because that is what I had right now. But could be anything between 1.9 and 2.2 because I always move it around those values depending on the situation. I also played with the "Cockpit global illumination" setting and cannot remember how it was at the time, but I don't recall any significant change on the buttons. I just did these two new screenshots are the same with Deferred Shading OFF at 13h, to show the same problem. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
escaner Posted April 1, 2018 Author Posted April 1, 2018 More insight into this. It happens with "flat" shadows. If shadows are set to low, medium or high, the cockpit is much darker and the illumination of the buttons is much more visible. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nealius Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Seconding the shadows thing. This happens in the Viggen and makes that module unplayable without shadows on at least Low.
EmilDamian Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 The screenshots are so crisp.
