Skyracer Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I just me who think that the damage model of all planes is a bit of. Right know the standard is that it takes 3 sidewinders to bring down a mig-21. You can get hit by a missile with out even notice it. IMO all planes feels ridiculously durable when it comes to taken a missile hit. Exorcet Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 The damage model is being reworked. No date is set for release. As far as I have gathered, the new damage model will include the systems of each aircraft. So for example if you hit the AI with a missile, even if it does not kill them, it could destroy their control surfaces and make the plane uncontrollable. 1 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
Reflected Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I noticed it too. I'm working on an F5E vs MIG21 mission and MIGs often fly on after being hit by both of my AIM-5P-s. Astonishing. 1 Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
