ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 8, 2018 ED Team Posted February 8, 2018 I am experiencing this as well, however, I am not seeing any logs created in the users/saved games area. DCS always creates a dcs.log But if it is crashing and not producing a .crash you can take a look at windows event viewer for clues Personally I am not seeing a crash on exit, I know VR users were experiencing it Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Madmatt_BFC Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) I too have been having this same issue, although for me it's been occurring for several months in both 2.2 and 1.58. When 2.5 Open Beta was released I performed a full reinstall but the crashes still occur about 4 out of 5 times when i exit the game. I play in both VR and normal and both modes crash at same frequency when I exit to desktop. Most recent crash logs attached along with the associated Application error log from Windows. I have a second gaming rig that I sometimes play on which does not crash on exit at all. This is far from a gamebreaker issue, but it is annoying that my favorite game does not exit cleanly. Thanks! Snacko Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 (edited) About 4 out of every 5 times, I get 'DCS has stopped working' Windows message when exiting DCS. I've been getting that for 6 months with the stock game, the alpha, and then the beta(when I started using that a month ago..) every frick'in time I exit... CRASH!! I just counted the .crash files that I have in my log folder. There are over 100 .crash files dated in 2018! I've done the cleanup, repair, rebuild metashaders, fxo, options.lua files. But then it's been crashing for 6 months so I doubt that's the problem. Event viewer and dcs.log always indicate either DX11backend.dll or ntdll.dll. I have run without mods for a period of time and still got the crashes. Now, with the crash on exit, I am also getting game lockups and in-game crashes since 2.5 which is very annoying.
