The installation of 2.5 Open Beta said that once installed the DCS World 1.5 version will be deleted (may be when the Beta version is official), so the big 1.5 File is still there now.

Can I uninstall the 1.5 version now without having any problems, like lost of AI serial numbers etc.?

I need space on my driver because the 2.5 Beta version is BIG...

Hi Biba - you can go ahead and delete it if you wish, the activation's are for your machine not each install
Thanks for the prompt reply

Hi Biba

How about multi-OS machines? If I want to uninstall DCS on one OS and install it on another OS on the same machine I would loose activations if I did not deactivate them prior to uninstalling DCS, right?

Or to put it in a different way: If I want to run DCS on multiple operating systems on the same machine I would need multiple activations for the same machine, right?

So activations are for the machine+OS properly speaking. Sorry for nitpicking, but I'm actually curious about this and want to make sure I understand this properly :)

Think 2x 1st. I kept 1.5 because as the latest update reminds us 2.5 it is a beta. Yes you can always reinstall but what a pita.

I am getting ready to buy another ssd and use one just for the sim.

Thanks and yes, it has nothing to do with the OPs situation. The question just came to my mind when I read your answer to the OP :)
