Sn8ke Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) Any way to adjust the cockpit shadow quality in the graphics configuration files? The highest in game options setting look so horrible they are quite a destraction. Not sure why the ultra shadow option went away. toutenglisse Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 There is I guess something that needs to be corrected about cockpit shadows : When you set a high quality, cockpit shadows with Nevada NTTR are OK (sharp and everything), but with Caucasus cockpit shadows are still low, aliased. So there is something, seemingly, going on with Caucasus' cockpit shadows quality. I don't know about Normandy I don't own it.
DST Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 So short general question about shadow options in the options menu: The option "shadows" on the left side of the graphic settings menu refers only to cockpit shadows, while "terrain shadows" deals with every other shadows in the game? I7 8700K 3.7 GHz 32GB RAM NVIDIA RTX 3080 Rift S
toutenglisse Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Terrain shadows gives options for terrain projected shadows only (normal / flat projected or off), while left side shadows option sets all shadows (resolution of all shadows, and then how far each source of shadow is visible from point of view, from cockpit shadows (2 layers, full and degraded), to far scenery objects shadows, like main buildings).
